I hated this song when it came out. Shows what I know. I'm almost 38 now and this whole album is getting a revisit. And it's rocking my world.

I wish Billy was still as inspired (or hungry) to write music as he did in this album. He can still write a good song, but the Adore album is pure soul and emotion that I feel is lacking from his music in recent years.

Biitch, i cant stop listening to this song. It reminds me of my own mortality and how i will only be able to live my life, see things through my perspective. It reminds me of this toxic person i knew, he dated my friend and he was fucking rude to my friend all the time, he would hit him and tell him that hes ugly or some stuff along the lines of that. It reminds me of a sick mind, only living for sex and to see someone get hurt. This song makes me feel in another world but it makes me feel like im going to have a panic attack. Its such a bittersweet feeling and i cant stop crawling back to it.

This was my album, junior year of high school. I used to come home from work, turn on my black lights, and listen to this album on constant repeat. It pulled me through a pretty gnarly depression.

A good rapper needs to sample this song (the part in the verses) it would be pretty badass! IMO, maybe, like an Eminem, or Kendrick or ASAP Rocky. lol.

Yes. I'm still hoping the 'Machina' 2-disc concept album reissue will eventually be released. At this point it is to me what The Beach Boys' 'Smile' used to be to many other people. It has the potential to be in the top 3 of my all time favorite albums.

"Tear" was written for the Lost Highway soundtrack, but was rejected by David Lynch in favor of "Eye".

Awesome to hear Eye as a mainstay on their Shiny and Oh So Bright tour!

It's weird for me to say, given a lot of things, but I'm almost sorry they didn't manage to put this into one of Jackman's Wolverine movies. The lyrics, the title, they fall into place in an odd way.
