To anyone out there reading this who is a pumpkinhead from the past---run, don't walk, run to the nearest venue and see them now. They sound freaking amazing. It's 2019, seen then twice this past year. Holy smokes, they sound so good. I think their following is slowly coming back after being pushed away by past performances. I've seen them when you couldn't even tell what song they were playing, but that's all in the past. Their concerts now are like 3.5 hours long because of the sheer volume of their singles and hits. But the sound is incredible. Trust me, you won't be sorry.

Billy as a writer is amazing, as a live performer not so much. If your going to be that Good on your recordings, then you should BE Able to play them Live, and not "phone it in"

i want to ask them this someday.. on siamese dream metro concert 1993 in chicago they seem to be following or trying to follow chamberlain.. here no... i can't figure it out...

they seem to be following chamberlain on the quieter parts of the song.. on the louder parts of the song corgan drifts away and then chamberlain keeps up with him otherwise the whole thing would collapse.. corgan is such a genius songwriter and guitar player, both of the guitarists are but once again i think he kind of drifts too much tempo-wise

The reason why I wanted to learn how to play guitar and be in a band was after seeing the Smashing Pumpkins live at Madison Square Garden for their Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness tour. Life-changing for a 16 year old boy to see.

Another of my favorite bands. I love the epic songs of both; Three Days, Then She Did, Porcelina, Starla, Through The Eyes Of Ruby, etc. Glad both are still around, if not entirely whole. Two of my favorite albums of all time: Nothing's Shocking and Siamese Dream.

I'm amazed to think that my favorite band, Sigur Rós, released their best album in 1999, and admitted in an interview that in 1996, they were listening to Smashing Pumpkins. I feel there's a hint of Smashing Pumpkins influence in their music... a mix of heavy rock and beautifuly crafted melodies and sounds. That's what "Porcelina of the Vast Oceans" represents to me.

I may be getting older and certainly more nostalgic, but some music simply just doesn't fade from your being. It has become a part of you, integrated within you, with your own personal interpretations and meanings. She waits for me there...
