Sloan - I Hate My Generation Lyrics
What could you both possibly share
-Other than the color of your hair
Sean said, we both play guitar
-Never even have to say a word
That's the best thing that I ever heard
Just dust and then you'll surely see
I've got my reservations
And I hate my generation
If I was born in the forties
I'd be a teen in the fifties
And maybe I watch too much TV
Maybe, maybe it's my fault
I've got my hesitations
Spit on your generations
S-E-A-N S-A-I-D
P-L-A-Y yeah yeah yeah yeah
S-E-A-N S-A-I-D
P-L-A-Y yeah yeah yeah yeah
I should take it with a grain of salt
What could you both possibly share
-Other than the color of your hair
Sean said, 'we both play guitar!'
-Never even have to say a word
That's the best thing that I ever heard
I have got my reservations
As I skate by my generation

Sloan I Hate My Generation Comments
Sloan's harmonies are masterful. The sound they make is in perfect synchrony with my brain.
Certo che se ne scopre di roba bella grazie al tubo!
I fell in love with the shaker because of this record.
Penpals is a hidden gem, so is Sloan in general
STOP SHARING MY CD
beautiful 1:18 -1:38 is so cool
young love.. trying to find someone to connect with beyond your looks and the hobbys that everyone seems to have..
I remember Pavement "Range Life" singing about skating, then this song months later "as I skate by my generation", then the following year Pavement had "Fight This Generation." \m/
Solid stuff here, glad they were recommended via one of my apps.
Underrated band! Saw them live more times than I can count. Always a good time!
In a decent generation this would be some popular Shit

For real--I loved this goofy, quirky song when it came out, and never understood why this band never broke through in the U.S., despite the fact that they made good songs. They're one of fave Canadian bands that should have blown up bigger here
These guys were unfortunately branded as Weezer: Canadian edition. They had a handful of radio hits nationwide, but they were overlooked in the states.
oomg this ia great
Such a sick song and great album!
