@GuitarsRockForever listen to "The offering" that will satisfy you. And then you'll listen to absolutely every thing from them. Lol. That's the route I took. I actually accidentally stumbled onto them browsing music late one night. Then absolutely fell in love. Even got my wife loving them.

I think I hear the second line of the second verse as “like a cursed whisper”, which makes sense to me along with the next line, but I could be wrong.

Dreamagain11 for some bands this would be a bad strategy, however sleep token is releasing every song as a single so that each song gets the attention it deserves and their songs are good enough to justify it. Also, as a band, they’re more focused on letting people enjoy their music the way they want and not the way that will get them the most Spotify listeners when the album drops or something.

@millenliam there probably will be a couple new songs on the album that we haven't heard before then.

Considering in under 3 singles (6 weeks) they went up over 50,000 listeners on Spotify means this strategy IS working, and works AMAZINGLY for record sales, as well as the general numbers. Considering every single song of this record is a different world/vibe, it makes 100% logic that they give about 2 weeks to really enjoy the experience each song on it's own. Watch when this method starts being used by more and more bands.

I think what he means is that metal, as a genre, has been dealt so many disservices that it causes you, me and many others to struggle to indetify this band's sound as metal. Let alone calling metal a sound/style anymore. Its progressed so much since the early days that it just cant the genre cant be lumped together anymore without hurting the bands within it (to those who dont like metal).

They just keep dropping hits. Love their range.
