I love Slade , I was only 8 when they were top of the tree , I used to rush home to watch noddy on top of the pops and catch love thy neighbour on htv

Incredible song. In the UK, only ABBA outsold Slade in the 70s. They haven't aged brilliantly with the current generations but you can't deny they've written at least 4 of the best songs of the 20th century.

I recently found the sheet music for this song in a charity shop. My daughter is learning to play it on piano while I sing along 😊
