Slade - Daddio Lyrics
Daddio do the nasty
Daddio don't come home
Daddio's working on a 7 year itch
Daddio's ready to roam
Daddio's out of luck
Mama mama mama it's a sure fire shot
Daddio he'd better run
Two timer once two timer twice
Two timer Daddio's holding up the dice
He make a buck, he make a deal
He makes a living on the spinning of a wheel
Daddio's doing the mambo
Daddio's always been a gambling man
Daddio's doing his thing
Two time in love two time in hate
Two timer Daddio's making a mistake
Sometimes you lose sometimes you win
Two timer Daddio's take it on the chin
Cos he...
He's nothing but a doggone viewer
Trying to bet on the TV with his beer
Makes him feel how he wants to feel
Dadadada, [etc..]
Daddio do the nasty
Daddio don't he ain't comin' home no more
Daddio's working on a 7 year itch
Daddio's ready to roam
Two timer once two timer twice
Two timer Daddio's holding up the dice
Sometimes he hits
Sometimes he get'cha
Two timing Daddio take it he wants to bet ya
Daddio's a bingo [x4]

VES SLADE
@sladecrazyfan YES, they could play anything, any style or genre, from unconventional to glossy, from small classical chansons to the loudest hardrock. And it never became bullshit like even with most of the 100 listed as "Greatest". With Slade it always remained a real song. That implicates that they rank among the very very best. Biggest mystery in the history of pop that they are considered only a footnote these days. They were much better and influential than they are given credit for.
@carlphone slade where ace no band could do the same kind of rock rock and roll absolute briiliant my fave band for 35 plus tears, thanx
@bigmagic96 It is a great gem. Just HO MANY great tracks do these guys have?
Another gem that got lost around the end of the 70s. Bside to Give Us a Goal, March 1978
Give this song a chance and it will really grow on you. Currently one of my most played Slade tracks.
Great posting again carlphone!
Long live The Mighty Slade!!
