Slade - Could I Lyrics

I could I could I keep you come burn you could
I could I could I keep you so have you get
I could I could I make you feel really fine
We could we could we make love this time
We could we could we make love so fine

You're old enough to know from where we come
And where we go and what we're here for
What do you feel for
It's hard enough to bare the thought in mind
But now you're there and then you're gone
Let's get it on

I could I could I keep you come burn you could
I could I could I keep you so have you get
I could I could I make you feel really fine
We could we could we make love this time
We could we could we make love so fine

You never really tried to let yourself be satisfied
And don't deny it until you try it
You've played the game so long
You think that life goes on and on
You better use it before you lose it

So fine
You're old enough to know from where we come
And where we go and what we're here for

You never really tried to let yourself be satisfied
And don't deny it

Slade Could I Comments
  1. Rob Harding

Slade ! Well, what more can one say about this great band that has not already been said, Other than the fact, We can still celebrate every night by playing this band and all their wonderful songs until we tire, But we never can, Legends.

"Could I" was the A-side of Bread's second single, released in the U.S. in 1969. Good ol' Slade made it sound like one of their own. Great grunge-rock!

    well said sir !!

    Jimmy Lea great bass.

    robert harding

So right my friend, Jim was a gifted musician, on the fiddle, ( no pun of course) Bass & piano, say no more.

    John Carver

He was a kick-ass musician, but this bass line is almost note-for-note the same as the one David Gates plays on the original Bread recording.
