I know this sounds cliche, but Skyharbor saved me. Along with The Contortionist. I can’t believe I got to see them on your together, twice. And then see Tesseract a few months after.

by far sky harbor's finest piece of work, truly amazing, why aren't you're other pieces anywhere as good as this, maybe because this is more like tesseract, which I actully prefer. sorry but true, but that clean riff is truly inspiring, great tune!

Yeah, speaking about Tesseract - I think the initial production they had also suited better, I mean the home "demos" before they got a vocalist. Anyway I was expecting something different from vocals. I never said Tompkins was bad, but just somehow to me he felt awkward :)

Marty Friedman himself would shit his pants if he even tries to understand proper indian classical music, it's that complex. And the drop tuning and 6th/5th string you're talking about is what people love to listen. Not everyone. Those who don't, simply don't listen, not rant like an old bloke on youtube videos

You argument about Skyharbor being famous coz of Marty is irrelevant as fuck. Sure the band earned quite a few fans coz of his solos on 2 songs, you yourself are an example that most Friedman fans wont dig this but the majority of Skyharbor fanbase aren't even Marty Friedman fans, but the fans of the modern progessive metal scene. which has nothing to do with Marty. And this being a "long awaited album" is because the album release was delayed twice making the fans "wait" for it. Makes sense?
