I liked the original lineup more but Anup, Dan and Nikhil have good replacements. They are better than ever live and feel more together as a band. Can't wait to see them perform again!

Sorry it took so long but you all did a great job opening for Babymetal. I saw you in Dallas and you jammed it out. Great stuff. It was just such a sad thing that it seemed that nobody knew what was going on backstage and between gigs. You had a tough crowd and I think you pulled through. Hats off to you all and I'll be watching for more from you .. After watching Alice Cooper run through 21 songs and over two hours on stage at 70 years it gets more sad the way things were handled all the way around. You deserved a better break but a gig is a gig..

FYI... this is actually the birth sound of Skyharbor. Their old songs like Trayus have a very similar power-djent vibe. They're always awesome no matter what \m/

Well... The new album has something going. This song DEFINITELY does not stand on it's own.
As a whole it is different and it's own beast, but definitely veers towards a more safer side of things. Doesn't quite hold a candle to Guiding Light but different enough that it ~could~ stand on it's own merritt. Ehh
I mean the I wasn't as into Guiding Lights the first time but even then both the first 2 album had that one song that just grabbed my soul from the get-go. Not here. They loose the awesome progressiveness and even more so now the instruments just sorta blend in. Not as captivating. Seems like they're watering down almost -_-

at first I was like WTF but then i read Eric said it was a tribute to some of the bands they grew up listening to like Linkin Park. Now I dig it. The rest of the album with not have a Nu Metal vibe.

Okay, look, here's my view on this: As a song itself, I think it's fuckin' awesome. As a Skyharbor song, I kinda miss that vibe they had in Blinding White Noise, and ESPECIALLY in Guiding Lights (which is my favorite album of all time, despite my favorite band being Dance Gavin Dance). So, this gets me a little disappointed, because I no longer have THAT Skyharbor to provide me that vibe.

Well, things change, I guess.

Listened for second time : okay this is skyharbor but the music still weird.

Gabi Murray exactly. And Anup was a huge part of it. New drummer just can't cut it. His playing is so devoid of an identity they might as well have programmed it and it wouldn't make an iota of difference. So disappointed.

The worst song of Skyharbor so far. The previous song DIM and Blind side are perfect but this is like a poor nu metal song. Definitely I hate it. Please back to the origins and don’t become a nu metal band ( what hell are you doing?)

Amery's vocal lines are predictable and uncreative. They have the same gait and cadence, it seems, as every other vocal run he writes. RIP Skyharbor.

Skyharbor, I've been listening to you guys on and off, but I love your guys music. Of course the average person could understand that every single song an artist release won't be flavorful to the ear nor cater to your every preference. With That being said, I like this song! Keep experimenting you guys are on fire with your music. I am really intrested in seeing how you will grow and discover more and more styles of songwritting and different elements in this genre. You guys rock!

Reminds me of one the cringy songs on Karnivool’s Themata. Of course, Karnivool then got it’s act together and released their masterpiece, Sound Awake.
Skyharbor on the other hand has already released their masterpiece in Guiding Lights, but now they are regressing rather than getting better. Too bad.

An appeal to all the Indians reading this please support skyharbour. They are great...... In case u support them they surely gonna make their way to big concerts and awards.

I'm still a huge Skyharbor fan, but I still prefer Dan Tompkins way more. His voice was more unique.

This band is simply amazing. They have so much creativity that I can't help but being jelous of all this talent. Good taste is good taste and no matter what type of material these guys write out, it will be awesome. Since Blind Noise White Illusion I am a fan of this band and love to watch them evolve from the simple 'djent band' they were back then to this new unique style of metal. Listen carefully if you think this is only some 'nu-meal' vibe.

Love the song. Love the Nu Metal vibes mixed with that classic Skyharbor chorus. Only thing that i dont care for is the high pitched hissing during the first 20-30 seconds.

Also: Not trying to discredit Devesh, Eric, and the rest of the band, from looking at the updates and the documentary, this album was a collaborative effort from everyone.

What I've realized is that those people who are complaining about the nu metal vibes are also the people who dislike bands who try any different sounds on an album to create an experience instead of the same sound over and over again. I welcome any dabbing into other sub genres that they do because it's a breath of fresh air. If you want the same shit over and over again, go listen to Black Metal and Deathcore; they hardly ever change.

This sounds like a bands first album kinda song, as in less matured musically and lyrically. I like their other new material though so it might just be a skipped track we'll see. Does seem kinda out of place tbh

definitly different from blind side, out of time and dim, but very nostalgic for me. Very Djent meets hybrid theory. fuck the haters, we already know three of the songs on this album are amazing, one "bad" (i like it but w/e) one isn't a big deal.

Also why isnt chemical hands on this album? Despite the bad production it is one of my favorites, especially Eric at the end. Was really bummed on to see it on the track listings.

Chemical IS on the new album, it was re-worked and now it's called ''Synthetic Hands''.

The chorus with the synth (or processed guitar?) is fucking amazing :) I think people are having a hard time appreciating this because its not in the context of the album yet. This is an awesome tune, seriously. Thanks for making music, looking forward to seeing you in Toronto again whenever you guys decide to come back <3!

I guess the prog vibes are still sparsely there, but this is gradually falling into metalcore/nu metal influences, which is a downer in my opinion. Skyharbor is losing what once made it an original band. The sound was reminiscent of Periphery, Monuments, and Linkin Park. Not necessarily a bad thing, since those bands have a couple awesome songs, but it's not what I expected. Wish Daniel and Anup were still there.

Today is a sad day. A band that I have been talking up to my Indian and American friends has lost their way, in my opinion. No vibe, no magic. It felt like they did not even believe in what they were doing. No musical synergy, just players doing their own thing. I found Sky Harbor from Daniel and liked them even with him gone but this is not worthy of the talent they have shown in the past. A great story, a great history. I hope they find their way back. Pray to the “Metal Gods” for guidance.

I respect your opinion. I am not sure that “Narrow Minded” is a correct assessment. I bought their music even when I could get it for free to support their work. This piece just did not do it for me and, as always, comments always just reflect the person’s thoughts. I am not trying to influence or change anyone else’s opinion of this creative work. Just my reaction to a composition from a band that I follow.

I am a veteran professional guitarist that loves all types of music and was introduced to Djent with TesserecT. I have been studying Prog, Metal and Djent to add to my “Musical Voice”. I love the direction of heavy music, this piece just did not “Sing to Me” the way all their other works have, that is all.
