It’s not exactly a stage name. Like Owl City, Sky Sailing was considered a project that was created by Adam Young.

This beats any Owl City song by a mile, and any Owl City song is amazing, so that's saying something

imagine if adam revived sky sailing like nicolas jaar revived his alias against all logic or stephen king revived richard bachman..
in general i miss own city's music, it was like optimistic bedroom pop for the thinking loner.

And I know for sure this song is an ass to play but that's what makes it beautiful.

Me too. But the song is easier than it sounds to play on guitar trust me! It's in an open D tuning and most of the chords are simple open chords, and the bouncy part flows right off your fingers once you get the groove. I recommend trying it out, even if you're a beginner :) i have an old cover on my channel if you're interested

I love how different his projects are. Owl City is synth-electronic (mostly), Sky Sailing sounds a bit more acoustic, Port Blue is just wonderful instrumentals... Sometimes it makes me cry how beautiful it is.

We could really use more of this from Adam in 2018 and onward.

Before good music, there was Opera. Now a days, before there was the good old Owl City that we all know and love, there was a little Opera that went a long, long way. In our modern society, it's sometimes easy to forget that life doesn't always have to be fast. This Airplane that Carried Me To Bed reminds me of that, and Sky Sailing is something that we all need to remember :)
