It’s like my dreams....

Sorry to be late to the party. The name is taken from a synthesizer sound preset series called "Choral". In this case they used the first one, hence Choral One (I think they had 6 or 7 different ones at that time). Of course, synthesizers have long evolved since then, but who even uses them anymore what with all the composing programs out now. Sad that most current composers /groups nowadays never even see or use a keyboard

Skinny Puppy are also known for combining more than one meaning in their song titles, sometimes with the aid of how they spell them. I'm not sure, but perhaps it's a combination of 'choral one' as well as the word 'alone', considering the lyrics about a barren, destroyed planet. I could be wrong.

Does anyone know where the choir samples come from or if they were generated?

To the people that are saying 'how is this a song?' Your definition of what makes up a song must be more limited. A song doesn't always have to have a typical verse/chorus/verse structure, or have some kind of drum beat going. This type of music is more of an ambient mood thing.

I seen this tour, Toronto - Concert Hall.
