does this not sound like a ministry song from the twitch era
hearing 03:38 still gives me goosebumps to this day as it has every time before
Saw them in the early 90's and again last year and THEY EFFIN sound awesome with such a funkie kewl show!
Even some of their club remixes sound even better when live.
One of the most evil sounding songs ever! It scared my kids!
+Maynard Skiwell this is nothing
+The_Radioactive_Breakdown Have some other suggestions?
+Maynard Skiwell raggedy angry could get scary
Well it has been used by the Dept. Of Defense as mental torture at Gitmo. little kids should not listen to this until they are at least 14-18 and know a bit of history of skinny puppy as yes it can be very mentally disturbing if not forewarned.
So I type in the search bar Skinny Puppy Burnt With Water, I get mostly what I was looking for, but about ten videos down I see a news story, Puppies burnt with boiling water in England. What the f**k is wrong with people? I didn't watch the video.
BIG OOF
Just listened to Public Service Broadcasting for the first and last time, had to come here to wash my ears.
To the right flank...march!
My girlfriend turned me onto Skinny Puppy back in '88 when we met. I was presently stuck in a musical rotation of Rush & AC/DC. She asked if I'd like to listen to a tape by Skinny Puppy. It was Bites/Remission. My mind snapped SHUT to it and I said something hateful like "don't ever play that shit in my car again" I saw how hurt she was and I hated myself for saying anything that had hurt her.
I took off my blinders and started to explore more about this Skinny Puppy band, buying a few albums along the way. I became entranced with the rhythms and the coarseness of the whole package.
We had only my '71 Chevelle for transportation for getting her to Art school and myself to work. I was an early adopter to 'high end' car audio and we had a STRONG tri-amped stereo in the car. It was a great one hour drive to get her to school playing music and talking. And then another hour back to my job, during which I had no conversation to have to hold down with anyone, I just let the Skinny Puppy Blast all the way through Dallas down Northwest Highway and into (not so) Grand Prairie TX to work.
Vivisect VI, Mind, Cleanse & Rabies.
I went nuts searching for more new music, some through Wax-Trax and many other sources. I also have a massive SP vinyl collection. (including a copy of Mind on Capital records, not Nettwork, which has Dig It with Out any electric guitar. I've yet to find another)
.
About that girl friend???
René and I just celebrated our 23rd anniversary in May.
Music is still a huge part of our life, that and muscle cars
I have seen your story on Skinny Puppy group fb page before. Cool man.
Yes! That's a favorite song of mine. Creepy is a good description.
Good for you, wish that was me. But it couldn't be because i was maybe six. Thank you so much for your testimonial, it gives me hope.
Good music. Bad politics. (Happy anniversary).
Give Lords of Acid a listen if you haven't yet.
Awesome!!
my fave!!! BEHAVIOR: BEHAVE!
Or perhaps, in 20 years people will "Dig it."
Only 1,777 views? WTF?!? This is a classic! Maybe another 20 years and people will "get it"...
It's like a soundtrack to my life.
Thanks for sharing this!
its about time
Behavior, Behavior.........
Nope, it was "Mind" That was the only show of theirs I ever saw. They toured w/Severed Heads, that year, who were really, really great in concert, as well, tho' I can never find any of the music they played on-line, and I'm not sure why . . .

Got to watch The Exorcist again...
That slit was probably on Assimilate
hes done it on a couple different songs i cant remember the others but the live footage is on youtube
They opened the Concert to this Track . . . I saw the show (1987??) He stood there in a black, pastic trash bag and stuck his face through, like in "Nightmare on Elm Street" (or something??) Then he burst out, at the end, and the "Mind" -show, began. There were videos of animals being chopped up, up on the screens; "B&W" (real scary.) I remember he slit his face open from Ear to Ear, at one point, in the Show (don't remember at what point that was.) Man, It was So COOL!!!! . . .
NOTHING beats The Puppy! ;)
THANK YOU for posting this track! all the others from the album were on here except this one, and I love love love this one.
