Bruh i broke a ankle going a small ass ramp and i still skate thats was 7 weeks ago though

Pushing your body forward slowly on to the ramp to go down usually leads to you bailing or falling off the board, get a good push before riding down the ramp/bank and bend your knees a little

Bruh i just went doen a ramp and all you need to do is don't lean foward and dont leen backwards

I see what i did wrong. Foot was placed too far forward. Don't do what I did unless you want a nice face plant.

That ramp is massive! Last year I learned to skateboard on the flat / gently sloping paths, but even on the most minute ramp in the local skatepark (about ¼ of the one in the video) I either bail at the top or I've tried crouching down then have to bail to stop after going down the ramp. Going down standing is too scary! Grrr, just had another frustrating session!

Any tips for an older guy on going up the other side of a mini ramp, eg tips for rolling fakie back down, turning on a bank ramp, rock to fakie , rock n roll etc. I practiced rolling fakie today from a very small height, not very good yet. I have ordered a balance board to use at home to help my balance

Thanks for the video! I tried this for the first time a few days ago and fell backwards on my hip at the bottom of the ramp. Gunna try that again with this vid in mind once I'm healed up.

I think it is a good video for showing people how to have good form which is really important. Shit. I wish we had videos like this back in the 70's. We had to learn this shit on our own, watching other people, or reading Skateboarder Magazine.

You should have learned the Basics first 🤦‍♂️

Ok as a skater I recommend putting your back foot on the tail and the front foot on the front bolts. Keep yourself calm and lean forward as you go down the ramp, and pump at the bottom. It looks casual and gets you up to a good speed :)

Holy crap. That's the Hollandia Skate Park. I was just there yesterday after class at CSUSM.

Truthfully, I couldn't really do anything there. Everything is so big.

I started out by having my dad help me. He first held me going down and slowly let go. Then he stayed at the end of the ramp and held his hands out. Slowly i built my confidence up and did it. I then did it by myself without him being near by. I started to do VERY well and i did the ramp perfectly. I told my dad to watch me. And when he did i had to much confidence and i did not bend my knees. WORST MISTAKE EVER. I also leaned forward way to much and ended up falling pretty hard. it wasnt fun. But i did it and i will continue skating.. lol

I was once in a skatepark, there were only scooters.. 25 of em'..
IT WAS HORRIFYING

eefraTF2 my local skatepark is indoors, first time I went there I was the only girl and only skateboarder. Had to be adleast 100 scooter kids, the place is huge. Every other time I have gone with my cousin, I taught her to skateboard and my dad comes with us too, he was the one who taught me to skateboard.

@nufive1 can you do a in depth vid on how to ollie but do more demonstrating than explaining as if you were teaching a pro (i know that sounds stupid) so if you can please cuz I'm having a really hard time learning how to ollie plus in the vid cud you also explain the stance and how to get comfy on your board many thanks Hazzabombbazza

Tried it once, never again. I fell and bit straight threw my lip.

fwyre all it does is take practice! Took me a few good tries before I could actually stay upright as I was going down.

@cmpondeck I am making a video on this in a few days. Make sure your lower body is completely still. All of your adjustments in blance should come from your arms. Foot placement must also be on the pocket of the tail.
