Skaggs, Ricky - One Way Rider Lyrics
Now you're off and runnin' run just like you're scared
Run just like a grey dog run just like a deer
Something in the bushes starin' out at you
Starin' at your feelings feelin' like you do.
Baby I'm right beside you everywhere you go.
Once upon a victim circumstance is due
Tend to take a hold on everything you do
First we follow losers next we follow fools
Now we follow footsteps sneakin' upon you.
One way rider, one way down the road
Baby I'm right beside you everywhere you go.
Don't go look for trouble it will come to you
Like some long lost passage fly in broken lines
Here in the fleetin' moment really gone this time.
One way rider, one way down the road
Baby I'm right beside you everywhere you go.
Yeah, I'm a one way rider, one way down the road
Baby I'm right beside you everywhere you go...

That’s some amazing guitar playing. Damn. Why didn’t I discover this sooner?
Raw Deal brought me here underrated Arnold movie.
Ray Flacke is a tele god
RAW DEAL 🤠
Good toe tapper
I always wondered who did that song.
Resign or be prosecuted anyway you want it
This song seemed so out of place at the start of Raw Deal, especially with an Austrian body builder as a small town Sheriff, but it really fits Arnold's fun personality.
They gave him a Raw Deal! NO ONE GIVES HIM A RAW DEAL!!!!
Codice magnum 🇺🇸💟🇮🇹
Badass guitar player right there!
good driving music!
this is real music
I love the line in this song where it says "don't go lookin' for trouble, it will come for you"!
thats realy puttin er in the payhole
This must be what they mean by poetic justice
The first time I heard this it boggled my mind. Ray Flacke is such a guitar monster and the steel player is right with him. You can hear where Brad Paisley got a lot of his licks... from Ray. :)
Greeting from Canada...Yes! I really love the instrumentation on this track. Much like Alan Jackson's "I Don't Even Know Your Name." Some of the finest picking is heard on "One Way Rider." It remains one of my most listened to tracks. Thank you for your insight(s). Anishinaube
Pretty mind blowing, isn't it? Wow what picking.
Ray’s tone is unmistakable
the kind of music U listen to when youre driving beside a big semi on the interstate.
let er go ricky!
Lying to the sheriff is a bad idea!
kubaz enigma so is impersonating an officer, resisting arrest, fraud, and reckless driving...
Ray Flacke is the shit !!!
Thank you Raw deal
you should not drink and bake
"I'm smart...unlike someone we know"
Still look like a chick! lol
I’m here to take care of things. All kinds of things.
sounds Good
You shouldn't drink and bake!!!
Winning improves your wardrobe
I’m here to take care of things. All kinds of things.
Cop: Whats the P stand for?
Ahnold: PUSSY.
I don’t believe a fuckin’ word he just said...
Blue Grass GOTTA LOVE IT!!!
@Eric Chapman I saw Ricky back in the 1980's - great show, He's also a great musician too. Thank you for your comment. Anishnaube
Arnold !
sandra come down sister
The two people who did not like this video were booked for impersonating an officer, resisting arrest, fraud, reckless driving, and lying to the Sheriff!!!
I'll be at home if you need me.
The millenials who did not like this song were tweeted by Donald Trump as being fake news spoiled brats and deported to Mexico
Great song and start to a great movie
Michael Newton I love this song but I love this comment just as much.
You are hilarious!
You should not DRINK...and BAKE.
this song is the opening song for the Arnold swartzeneger movie-raw deal...it took me a long time to figure it out..
Raw Deal brought me here!!!
Thank you all very much for your comments. I have been away for a while working on a new career in social work; having recently graduated this past summer, life has become increasingly busy. I am currently learning a new video production program and intend to find time for new projects. Thank you all for your input! Anishnaube
The system gave him a raw deal.............NOBODY gives HIM a raw deal.
This is a pretty standard setup for electric mandolins and fiddles. Being a solid body, electric instrument, it does sound very "guitar-ish" but if you listen very closely, you can tell the difference between the mandocaster and Ray Flacke's guitar. The whole ending sequence of this song is nothing but Ricky's electric mandolin.
Just to set the record straight, ALL the electric guitar on this song is Ray Flacke. A lot of what people are mistaking for "guitar" on this song is actually electric mandolin. During this period, Ricky Skaggs played a 5 string electric mandolin extensively. It was built by Joe Glaser in Nashville and even had a string bender installed in it. It was tuned just like a standard mandolin except the strings were singles rather than the usual pairs, and it also had a low "C" string.
Excellent. Yes, those of us with ears love the talent of Ray Flacke. Ricky is very good. But I love the ability of the studio players, like Mr. Flacke and Mr. Albert Lee, for example, to create solos with outstanding phrasing and lyricism with their instruments that mocks the vocals. These guys don't just jam: they play to complement the song, not make a vehicle for their desire to play.
I had the honour of seeing Ricky "Live" when younger. I still have the ticket stub he signed for me. He's long been one of my all-time favorite musicians. His playing is mind bending. This track never fails to bring a smile to my face. - which is why I selected it as one of my very first attempts at creating videos. Mind you, later videos became more adventurous and intricate. Thank you for your input.
This song remind me Raw Deal or Saloon with cowboys who drinks a beer after really long range
it is both flacke and lee... they both played on it. Flacke plays the first solo, Lee the second (later) and then it is 'lick tradin'' after that...
does anybody know how i can get a copy of LOVES GONNA GET YOU SOMEDAY??
he did a great sone I WONT LET YOU DOWN and a web pierce song.

@califgirl101 And even cooler, some of the lyrics fit the scene... I still laugh my ass off when the dude on the bike gets blown off.
@JamesRayder2020 Oh, I know what you mean! Not long ago, I've tried feverishly to find this awesome song with no success!
@califgirl101 I had to watch Raw Deal to get this song...
Sweet! I finally found this crazy kick ass toe-tapper! thank you! thank you! thank you! You know, I never knew this was the extended version of this song! Awesome! :)
@reflectivegoat True that!
