Geezer, I was 23 working at a factory. 5 of us would break boredom by belting this out at the top of our lungs in the twangiest twang. Then bust up laughing our heads off. So, now at 60, I'm sitting in a parking lot waiting for my wife belting this out at the top of my lungs.

I searched hard for this song by Ricky Skaggs but just found it! I was painting our house in Dayton Ohio in 1979 while my wife was visiting her Mom in Germany. This song just kept me going for 3 days and kept me company. Lyrics are so poignant. Forgiveness about the past but now complete loyalty.

A different take than the one done by Webb Pierce. Just as good, just different. This was the first RS song I ever heard. It made me a fan.

Beautiful song. Use had cassette tape back 1986 I play it both side walking home after work. Ricky music was very special though years. Still is today. Love Classic hits songs.

I love bluegrass. The most beautiful music in American history. People like Ricky and Allison Krauss kept it alive for our genaration I hope some just as great will keep it going.

I have seen Ricky and his band (and The Whites) at the Opry several times. They make the show. Ricky is funny and witty and so loaded with talent that one is agast. I believe he, in the 80s, kept Country Music alive.

I like Rickys 80s country band, songs like this and highway 40 blues , the steel player was fabulous,thats Bruce Bouton ........the whole band was superb , just like the hot band with Emmylou was.
