Sinatra, Nancy - Something Lyrics

Something in the way he moves
Attracts me like no other lover
Something in the way he woos me

I don't want to leave him now
You know I believe and how

Somewhere in him smile he knows
That I don't need no other lover
Something in his style that shows me

Don't want to leave him now
You know I believe and how

You're asking me will my love grow
I don't know, I don't know
You stick around now it may show
I don't know, I don't know

Something in the way he knows
And all I have to do is think of him
Something in the things he shows me

Don't want to leave him now

Another wonderful song I remember my parents playing at home when I was a kid.
    I've always remembered it.

  3. B.... F....

Love this song. So glad they recorded it together.

  4. B.... P....

Frank daughter's was hot ,but who is going to date her with rumor of Frank backgrounds 🤔

  5. c.... r....

Sideshow Bob (Kelsey grammar) did an equally amazing job of singing this 😍

  6. D.... I....

Please don't mention the others who sang it , while I'm listening to this

  7. H.... H....

Peep show brought me here, god, this piece is adoreable

    H.... H....

I already knew the music but i im here because of that show :p

  8. N.... W....

    Sideshow Bob brought me here.

  12. W.... S....

Too bad about her Stupid politics.

    W.... S....

I never was a big fan of Nancy until now. Too bad about your stupid ass.

    W.... S....

I've always liked Nancy regardless of politics. Politics doesn't rule my world.

  13. D.... C....

Still the best version ever.Love it.

  14. C.... K....

Here from that weird Georgian Candy Commerical

  15. J.... R....

My birthday twin 😘😍Love some Nancy

  17. c.... p....

I love this. The Robbie Williams and NIcole Kidman version is nice too.

    Saudades💙💙💙

  21. j.... w....

Man.dave and i sang the heck out of this song many years ago.

  22. f.... ....

Their photos are so cute!!! 😍😍

  23. B.... c....

1.40 You can imagine Yul Brynner thinking 'Holy crap, That is much woman....'

    B.... c....

The eyes certainly lit up, didn't they !

    B.... c....

@jimbo43 They certainly did, not surprised she was/is a beautiful woman. Shame her old man's voice overwhelmed hers on this track as her voice is great on its own. Today the backroom boys would have done a bit of jiggery-pokery and levelled the two out.

  24. r.... g....

    The string arrangement is awesome

    r.... g....

Yes, so pretty. Don't hear that anymore in today's music.

  25. B.... B....

    Came from @cursedvideos on Twitter

    B.... B....

    Haha sameee

  26. S.... D....

The Wrecking Crew had to find someone to play this riff on the guitar and the person was someone who played on the record "You Just May Be The One" for The Monkees. with Hal Blane.

    S.... D....

    Lucio Battisti emozione

  27. J.... T....

    Cool family.

  28. M.... d....

    ME ENCANTA! TAN ROMANTICA!

  29. G.... D....

Esta música me hace sentir como, que todo va a salir bien. en fin música que no pasara de moda.

    G.... D....

ÁNDALE! ESA ES LA DESCRIPCIÓN EXACTA. COMO QUE TRANSFIERE UNA POSITIVIDAD.

  30. J.... C....

    ahhh…...was I ever so young?

  31. d.... z....

Que buena canción la puta que me pario

  32. T.... A....

I don't know why but i love this song very much...💌

    T.... A....

I adore this song it's so haunting the tune.

    T.... A....

Perhaps the use of Nancy singing high harmony to Frank's lower melody? Usually the other way around with the female doing the melody.

    T.... A....

@Spike's Pa yeah they experimented this whole thing i guess...

    T.... A....

    Because you have good taste.

  33. 2.... s....

Gee the lyrical content is beyond peculiar for a father/ daughter duet.

    2.... s....

    29Feb sober are you braindead?

    2.... s....

    @Deutscher Soldat Are you deaf?

    2.... s....

    @29Feb sober It's just a song....

  34. t.... ....

I like the Robbie Williams/Nicole Kidman version of this song better.

    t.... ....

Seems to be a cigarette paper between the two. Father and daughter makes for a great combo.

  35. H.... R....

This song was made for Ted Mosby

    H.... R....

i was thinking about that for a whole day, damn.

    H.... R....

    Why😂😂😂😂

    H.... R....

@Yasmin Ahmed because he went and spoiled it by saying something stupid like I think I'm in love with you

    H.... R....

Hafeezur Rahman ohh I get it now 😂😂😂😂❤️

  36. K.... a....

This what a legend sounds like , thank you mr Sinatra

  37. S.... Z....

Love the song and meaningful lyrics. Love to dance with my wife with this song.

  38. F.... B....

Missing my grandmother clara d r McCormick

  39. r.... f....

this song is a big reason why I think the best music came from the 1960's.......kind of partial as I was born in 1957...the 1970's come in a very close second......

    r.... f....

I think so too, but I was born in 2002 :D the music is just wonderful

    r.... f....

    rick flood amen

  40. J.... C....

Of all of his duets this one is my absolute favorite by far.

    J.... C....

I'd bet it's his favourite too.

  41. H.... T....

I know I stand in line
Until you think you have the time
To spend an evening with me
And if we go some place to dance
    I know that there's a chance
You won't be leaving with me
Then afterwards we drop into a quiet little place
And have a drink or two
And then I go and spoil it all
By saying somethin' stupid like, "I love you"
I can see it in your eyes
You still despise the same old lies
    You heard the night before
And though it's just a line to you
    For me it's true
And never seemed so right before
    I practice every day
To find some clever lines to say
To make the meaning come through
But then I think I'll wait
    Until the evening gets late
    And I'm alone with you
The time is right, your perfume fills my head
The stars get red, and, oh, the night's so blue
    And…

  42. A.... O....

Despite all of Frank Sinatra's wealth and aura of glamour, Nancy still looked like a pizza girl. Beautiful duet!

    A.... O....

You mean as in "I wouldn't mind a pizza dat!" Make me a sandwich with Nancy and Sophia Loren and I'm a happy filling!

    A.... O....

What do you mean with "pizza girl"?

  43. C.... J....

    Parents always have their favorites.....

  47. D.... B....

I love this oldie. I remember when it was released.

  48. g.... c....

A feeling that evokes the idea of a vision of birth and disclosure of meaning, where the contrasts between the ego and the world, the subject and the object and the sense of the beauty of the soul fail, perpetually gushing like a hollow, like a fault of being for those we have loved and loved us !!giorgio50💋💋💋💋

  49. K.... R....

Does anyone have the guitar tab for this?

    K.... R....

  63. T.... J....

I've been a singer, a pianist and musician for 25 years. My girlfriend is also a singer, she's an American hottie (she has the whole exotic look going on, being part Spanish and Brazilian.) and also a great singer! We sometimes sing this together. I can do the whole Sinatra style too, when I choose to.

    T.... J....

    i dont believe your nonsense!

    T.... J....

Have you got an 8 inch schlong, a mansion with a golf course and brand new tesla too?

  66. .... B....

Couldve been the perfect song for HIMYM

  67. V.... P....

Just a few days ago I watched a YouTube video of an interview of Ronan Farrow about his new book. As soon as I saw the lead photograph here of Frank Sinatra, Nancy Sinatra, and Yul Brynner, I was immediately struck by how much Ronan resembles that particular shot of Frank. Not delving into the rumors here, but the resemblance between the two men at that moment took my breath away.

    V.... P....

He sure don't look like woody

    V.... P....

@Eileen Lohrer That's one of the most compelling reasons to believe he's Frank's son. Ronan looks nothing like Woody Allen. Of course he looks like his mother Mia, but he has no features or expressions whatsoever that resemble Woody. When you put the two factors together, first Ronan's unmistakable resemblance to Frank Sinatra, and second the absence of any resemblance to Woody, it's hard to accept any conclusion other than Frank is Ronan's father.

    V.... P....

Have no idea of time lines of when they slept together. None of my biz. He looks like Mia. That I can see. Maybe he can tell you?

  68. H.... E....

Should be sung with Ava really Frank-proper femme fatale

  69. G.... e....

    Now this is cute

  70. A.... ....

This song surely cannot be a 007 film theme

  71. M.... G....

    Tellement sublime..Je ne peut m'en lasser .

  72. M.... ....

why the heck does a father and daughter sing a song like this????

    M.... ....

    Mattiaxish,
All kinds of strange things happening in those days, but far from this present Hell.

    M.... ....

    @Wolfwolveswolf Well said! Agreed!!!!

  73. J.... M....

Nice song and very nice to hear and remember. And through saying "I love you" may sound corny or stupid, this is what we usually say. Women are very good to know when looking at us as we say this if we really mean it or not.

    J.... M....

    yes we are!!!! lol lol

  74. H.... e....

this is great, but I think I like Robbie & Nichol's version better:)

    H.... e....

    Go listen to it then

  75. P.... K....

  91. P.... H....

Such a thoughtful and emotional song for its time sung so beautifully in Harmony.

  92. J.... E....

Never new this was a Frank Sinatra tune but I've always liked it.

    J.... E....

His was the most popular version, but it was a cover. The original was done by the song's composer Carson Parks who recorded it with his wife Gaile. The famed Wrecking Crew are the studio/session music players. Hear that opening guitar lick? Glen Campbell was suppose to be the lead guitar on this track. However, Frank wanted a similar guitar intro as on the original version by Carson & Gaile. Try as hard as he may Glen just couldn't get down exactly what Frank wanted. Al Casey another member of the Wrecking Crew finally steps forward and makes this admission, "uh that's me playing lead on the original by Carson---I think I know what Frank wants." So Glen and Al simply switch positions on the recording. Thus, Al Casey is lead guitar on BOTH the original and on Frank's cover. The original version of the song (on YT too) has a slower pace and Al's lead-in riff guitar has a slightly more Spanish guitar feel to it (to me), but Frank still got what he wanted.

Anyone interested in the Wrecking Crew there is a 2015 film (music) called the Wrecking Crew ( I saw it on Youtube). It was produced by Tommy Tedesco's son. The stuff these guys produced is unbelievable. If you like any pop music in the West in the 1960s-70s then you would have liked something they did.

  93. A.... K....

Mesmerizing voice and music , a classic, thank you
