Riddles' arr. are of course classic but I have always loved Axels' lush treatments even in an earlier mono fidelity

Bob Dylan's name shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as Sinatra, particularly in relation to this song - Sinatra's in a different league!

Beautiful song. I love anything by Matt Dennis. And I think Sinatra did a great job with this one each time he sang it.

I agree with everything you said, Wendy. The mature Sinatra voice was better suited for this somber song.

Love the Gordon Jenkins arrangement it's darker and somehow more bitter-sweet than this version. It's also slower and Frank Sinatra's voice seems deeper and richer. More expressive.
