Sinatra, Frank - Street Of Dreams Lyrics

Love laughs at a king, kings don't mean a thing on the street of dreams
Dreams broken in two can be made like new on the street of dreams

Gold, silver and gold
All you can hold's up there on a moonbeam
Poor, there ain't nobody poor
Long as love is sure on the street of dreams

[instrumental]

All the gold, silver and gold
All you can hold's up there on a moonbeam
Poor, nobody's poor
Long as love is sure on the street of dreams

Sinatra, Frank Street Of Dreams Comments
  1. 5.... ....

Some things are just so very special that there are no words.

  2. d.... ....

    this is the benchmark

  3. R.... R....

    Wonderful!!!!!

  4. j.... z....

I want this played at my funeral when I die.... I want people to always keep dreaming and leave this world with the best sounds on their ears... I have this album, and a few others sooo smooth

  5. j.... z....

my second favorite album, after Only the lonely, this is Vegas,  night life, just the best ever never to be repeated again .... which is why it is so timeless...

  6. z.... ....

    Well, there's Michael Bublé, right?

  7. s.... k....

    superb!!!

  8. S.... B....

FRANK SINATRA considering all of the musicians he played with has brothers.

  9. S.... B....

FRANK SINATRA is one of the most misunderstood by his fans.....

  10. L.... H....

My dad's friend played with Sinatra for over 20 years and got paid for it !! What a job. When I visited his home in Portugal he had a signed picture from Frank and another one with Charlie Bird Parker and Dizzy Gillespie.

  11. R.... C....

I had an Uncle who in the 1950's sang this and this way. Naturally, he was no Sinatra. Q rewrote all this music for Frank. Frank gave Q his pinky ring.

  12. d.... g....

When Frank finished the song, he even acknowledged the song was written by the late Victor Young. What class!

  13. M.... ....

And then there's Basie! Yow! What a combination.

  14. o.... ....

TMI?...the announcer of Frank and the Band, at the beginning, is an actor by the name of William Conrad, who later had a TV show called "Cannon". He had a great voice! P.s., yes, probably my favorite album, although I have it on CD and not vinyl.

  15. R.... C....

Think about it children, you are hearing this at a level never to be matched.

  16. R.... C....

Great composers had great works performed down through the ages at ever higher levels. Here is an exception. It cannot be improved upon.

  17. B.... D....

There is an album of the opening set that Basie played on this date.... if you are a Basie fan

  18. A.... A....

    MY LIFE

  19. R.... C....

If you think he only sang when he got paid. not. he broke out into song on his won.

  20. R.... C....

Quincy is there running the show right there with, in front of and in back of Frank. Few men will ever match this or come close.

  21. L.... D....

that G he hits in finale. WOW !

  22. E.... ....

I love Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis's short tenor solo. Classic chart and performance.

  23. P.... H....

the VOICE , like caruso . all italian

  24. c.... ....

One of my favorite Sinatra songs, and not well known..

    c.... ....

    I agree

  25. M.... h....

The greatest there ever was --- no one -- no one reached the heights he established --- his music was and is forever -- Rip Frank --- we still listed

  26. d.... f....

MASTERPIECE - For me this is Sinatra's best album; with the power and punch of Basie's superb band and Jones' arranging it is just supreme.

  27. K.... C....

    SAY NO MORE …… XXXXXXXXXX

    K.... C....

..With the Basie Band and Frank, at a good time in his life...Great....I have a problem with the other name on the cover....One never knows about this guy..and what and who he gives credits too...enough...Sinatra and Basie..Great

  28. l.... ....

ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS FROM THIS ALBUM. BASIE AND THE GUYS SWING IT PRETTY GOOD.

  29. P.... W....

An inspired summit meeting of legendary talent.Remembering Bill "Count" Basie on what would have been his 110th birthday! (August 21, 1904)

    P.... W....

    @***** You're welcome Patricia, it's a brilliant album! :)

  30. m.... ....

The very best of Frank. Talent does no longer exist on this planet. Treasure this in you memories forever. It will never happen again. Live at the Sands is the ultimate for Frank and company.

    m.... ....

What a shame there is no video!

    m.... ....

Talent does exist but not promoted. Mediocrity reigns.

  31. l.... ....

    The ultimate Sinatra album!!!

  32. E.... ....

This was, and still is...ONE KICK ASS ALBUM!!!

  33. j.... z....

Just the very best....this, and 'Only the Lonely" album ..no one will ever take Frank's place....

  34. H.... D....

Count Basie. A very young Quicny Jones conducting. Kai Winding on trombone. Sonny Payne in drums. Gerry Mulligasn on baritone sax. Lionel Hampron on vibes. Every musician was a hand-chosen superstar on his respective instrument. One of the FINEST live recordings ever made...with The Chairman of The Board doing a supreme job on the lyrics and melody. Priceless and outstanding. A TREASURE.

  35. D.... B....

..Do you hear ....Freddy Green's, comping on Guitar......Oh My....Victor Young,Sinatra and Basie...
