Sinatra, Frank - Stargazer Lyrics

Stargazer! You with your head in the heavens,
You'll never get by, walking that high off the ground.
Hey, moon dreamer, I've been around and I see it,
That higher you get, the harder they let you down.
You pay your dues, it seems forever,
And if you're clever, you may be in for a while, then you're out of style.
Hey, stargazer, probably think I'm crazy, and you haven't heard one single word I said.
No I don't want to burst your bubble, but you got trouble,
Don't you know the higher the top, the longer the drop,
Hey, stargazer (jump on it, Sam, get all over that thing!).
No I don't want to burst your bubble, but you got trouble,
Don't you know the higher the top, the longer the drop,
Hey, stargazer! Stargazer, stargazer, stargazer! You moon dreamer, you moon dreamer!

No one is probably going to read this
I’m just gonna write it anyway because I feel at least one person will.
Im a singer songwriter called Michael Softley
I am a try hard chasing a dream
I have my first few views up and could use help getting subs and likes
If anyone who reads this could press the “thumbs up” other people will see it
Just a simple button press could make my dreams come true
    Thank you much love.

First time I saw Sinatra live he performed this punchy tune at a Democratic fundraiser at the Universal Amphitheater in 1976. He was a electrifying spellbinder, always an element of danger about him on stage. To say he held the audience in the palm of his hand was no understatement, as we hung on every note. Speaking of punches, Frank purportedly had to be "restrained" backstage ("Lemme' at him, lemme' at him!") when M.C. Warren Beatty stated, "Thank you, Frank, you old Republican you!"

Thanks a lot for sharing this anecdote of yours! Attending the L.A fundraiser featuring Frank is an attraction itself.

Very exciting! In spite of the impression some of my observations may leave, I have always been, and shall ever be a a huge Sinatra fan.
