Sinatra, Frank - I'll Be Around Lyrics

I'll be around,
No matter how
You treat me now
I'll be around from now on.

Your latest love
Can never last,
And when its past,
I'll be around when he's gone

Good-bye again,
And if you find a love like mine
Just now and then,
Oh drop a line to say you `re feeling fine

And when things go wrong
Perhaps you'll see
You're meant for me
So I'll be around when he's gone.

Good-bye again,
And if you find a love like mine
Just now and then,
Oh drop a line to say your feeling fine

And when things go wrong
Perhaps you'll see
You're meant for me
So I'll be around when he's gone.

So glad I found this version. I'd been brought up listening to Julie Roger's cover of this. Still LOVE it regardless - Oh Frankie! :)

    Sounds like Mr. Rogers music.

This song screams Ava Gardner! This is exactly the dynamic their relationship took after she left him.

    K.... D....

Sinatra was married to Ava Gardner from 1951-'57, and three of his albums, which he called the "suicide albums" were recorded late in their relationship or after it ended. You can hear the pain and longing in his voice in some of those songs, it was a rough time for him, but we are the winners, since we have those deeply emotional "saloon songs" (which was what he called them) to remember and listen to, long after he's been gone. They are part of what helped him to be called the greatest singer in the 20th century! He was one of the greatest and most in demand entertainers of that time!

Is it just me, or does the first few seconds sound like a song from Pixar's Inside Out?

    D.... R....

    no
    >leave

    D.... R....

You have it backwards. Pixar's Inside Out sounds like this song...

    relatable

  12. C.... ....

describes perfectly the situation I was in a few years back. She left but this song was dedicated to her. When things go wrong perhaps, you'll see you're met for me, so I'll be around, for now on.

  13. P.... C....

    I love you....Xx

Frank nor Bennett can touch Bobby Caldwell's version!

  15. J.... ....

I like Frank. I really like him, but. Tony Bennett's version blows this one away.

    J.... ....

Well, I went and checked... and you are right, its brighter and er, 'cleaner' if that makes sense... but it is also in a different mood.

  16. s.... ....

Okay so who want to whisk me away to dance under the moonlight? :)

  17. t.... ....

    Perfection.
