Sinatra, Frank - All Alone Lyrics

All alone, I'm so all alone
There is no one else but you
All alone by the telephone
Waiting for a ring, a ting-a-ling

I'm all alone every evening
All alone, feeling blue
Wond'ring where you are and how you are
And if you are all alone too

[instrumental]

I wonder where you are (remember me) and how you are (remember me)
And if you are (I love you) all alone (I love you) too

I feel like this tonight. 😢

  4. w.... g....

A dimly lit smoky bar, Jack Daniels, love on the rocks and Sinatra on the Jukebox...what a combination!

  5. J.... M....

I'm only 13 and I know who Frank Sinatra is, this just shows that classical music was not forgetting and should never be. Rest in Piece Frank you will never be forgetting.

    J.... M....

    Shut up bro

His voice makes my heart melts.
damn this man is out of this world.

  8. A.... J....

Ada Jones sang a better solo version than this. she also recorded t with Billy Murray and with Walter Van Brunt. Ada’s solo version gives me good feelings. Here I get very bad feelings. I be NEVER fan of Frank Sinatra, but I’m fan of Frank C Stanley (1868-1910)

    A.... J....

    Just shut the fuck up

    A.... J....

I'm with him shut the fuck up dude no-one cares about your opinion

Beyond perfection... if you've ever been all alone, Frank makes you feel it all over again. It reaches the deepest bottom of your heart.

  10. J.... N....

Masterful arrangement. The soprano at the end is perfect and haunting. It completes the piece so beautifully and solemnly

  11. A.... C....

Just right when alone, wasn't he just perfect.

  12. S.... S....

I picture hearing this beautiful haunting song with Gordon's strings and Frank's interpretation of a poignant red sunset shining through a quiet window.

  13. M.... L....

Beautiful!  Thank you for posting this sad but lovely song, FS does it so well, of course.

  14. F.... ....

    Thanks Frank ... !!!

  15. C.... H....

Just saw Hershey Felder in "Irving Berlin" at the Royal George Theater in Chicago. I cannot fathom why he did not include this song in his performance. There were at least 2 places where it would have fit beautifully. Maybe he thought it too sad?
A wonderful show. See it if you can.

  16. A.... K....

The soprano at the end has a lovely voice, but I think the point of the song is that Frank is alone... and should have been left all alone, just his beautiful interpretation of this haunting ballad... alone. Maybe it's just me, but I think it spoiled it.

Abolutely mesmerizing. Thank you. I just purchased & received a brand new (still sealed) LP of this. My friend and & will open it together and hear this song for the first time as a new 52 year old record. Very cool.

The voice at the end of this song is Noelie Jean Norman, who was a brilliant soprano. She also sang the high notes in the 1960 tune "The Lion Sleeps tonight" recorded by The Tokens. She passed away in 2005. This piece, arranged by Gordon Jenkins and sung by Sinatra was written by Irving Berlin as a loving memoriam to his beloved mother, who died in 1922. Berlin wrote the song in 1924. Although many singers have performed it over the many decades since its inception, none has done it with more soulfulness than Sinatra.

    E.... L....

    Loulie Jean Norman

    E.... L....

    Try Judy Garland's version.

  19. E.... L....

The woman who hits the high notes at the end of the song is Loulie Jean Norman, a great Soprano. She was also the singer who sang all the high notes on the 1960 recording "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" performed by the Tokens. She died in 2005.

  20. s.... ....

I love the idea of started the song...alone, without an intro. I'm glad he left the break in his voice towards the end; an emotional moment...beautifully done.

  21. z.... ....

If Sinatra and Berlin are not in Heaven, I am not sure I want to go!

  22. E.... ....

@Egaads Seriously , this is one of Franks greatest tunes too bad it's so short ,but it is pure sex from days gone by ...

  23. s.... ....

Never much discused but 1962s "All Alone" reprise Lp ia a gem!!!

  24. l.... ....

I'm so tired of being alone D':

  25. E.... ....

Highly underrated masterpiece by Irving Berlin with a gorgeous arrangement by Gordon Jenkins. Francis Albert brings an emotional interpretation like none other. Thank you for posting this beautiful, sad song without distraction of continuously changing pictures (though quite proper for most videos). Wonderful.
