Growing up in south africa in the 80s, this was a God send. the end of apartheid was at the end of the tunnel, but this kind of music showed us that people if people of different races and backgrounds could get together we could make rhythm like no other.

Any time I hear this song it fills me with immense joy and also a complex story. I am in the middle of watching the Under African Skies documentary, but I had to stop and watch this video.


This is my favorite album and has been for decades. It was only just now that I found out that the album lacked this song until you were going to go on SNL. The world, or at least my world, would have missed something without it.
