You know it's weird, usually bands get softer as their work progresses or at least stays similar. But Silverstein just got a lot more heavy and hardcore. Pretty legit. Wonder how long it will last.

I listened to music that much until I discovered Silverstein's My Heroine when I was 9. And got addicted to the band when I bought the album along with A Shipwreck in the Sand. After all that time Silverstein still blows me away

Why is everyone making fun of people who don't know who Silverstein is? Honestly didn't see any comments from people saying that this sounds like Beartooth or this is their first time listening. Just because this is Rise Records, don't go jumping the gun and assuming everyone on here never listened to real music.

what i think really defines and completes a Silverstein song is the smooth and quick change from growling to soothing singing. this shit is so good.

Not as well written as midwestern, but still potentially catchy.

Will be interesting to see how the rest of the album sounds and if they vary the song style as much as the first two released have done

I would have loved to hear this without any breaks from the intensity and just the faster, "heavier" feel all the way through. Still an amazing song, sounds great.

This is one of those bi polar songs that will take some biplorising to understand. I love there first few albums the most.

I'm a little disappointed by the quality of Silverstein's lyrics on the last two songs, but overall I think the songs are pretty good. Still buying the new album for sure.

@IBanged YoMomma Beartooth sucks so bad. I love the Christian metal scene, but they only got where they are because of who Calendar Shomo is. Silverstein has been making music 10+ years, they didn't rip off beartooth and they don't suck. Rise is lucky to have them on their label, but I can assure you that Silverstein doesn't need to rip off a band that isn't even that good to begin with....

Either way, can't wait to see you guys do the entirety of Discovering The Waterfront for the 10th anniversary tour when you are in the UK. It's one of my all time favourite albums!
