Brian Baginski I couldn't say it any better! I would say in the top 5 of my favorite bands of all time and I never get tired of them and they are just a great modern rock band and no one that I can think of sounds like them at all. They definitely deserve more attention than they get!

This genre would be good if they didnt autotune the shit out of every lead singers voice. It makes like every band sound the same and this is comingfrom someone who enjoys this music lol

Most bands use Pitch correction which is similar to auto tune but it's not lol auto tune effects voices automatically making it crappy

Just my personal input but here's how I see it: is screamo a genre? Technically: No. there's no such thing as a "screamo" genre you're right "screamo" as people refer to it is a style of singing (or screaming hence the name) which is most commonly used in like you said the hardcore and post-hardcore genres (which if i'm correct are vague sub-genres of metal) but I really don't see a need to get so violent and upset someone misspoke and then simply tried to validate their point non-hostile
