Silverstein - Born Dead Lyrics
You call this a privilege
No, I call it a right
There's no respect for life
No compromising
Coverage denied (Coverage denied)
So sit behind your desk and tell me how I'm supposed to feel inside
You know I'm slowly dying, how long I have left is for you to decide
We keep on suffering everyday
We're victims of opportunity
One nation under God, they said
We are all born dead
Dead and rotting bodies fill the
Fields in the east
Is this what makes us free?
So flex your muscle as you barricade the whole world piece by piece
How long until the ocean overflows into our yards and streets?
We keep on suffering everyday
We're victims of opportunity
One nation under God, they said
We are all pawns, we are all sheep, we are all born dead
We can't escape this
Until we unify as one
I'll fight the sickness
Until my time has come
We keep on suffering everyday
We're victims of opportunity
One nation under God, they said
We are all born dead
We keep on suffering everyday
We're victims of opportunity
One nation under God, they said
We are all pawns, we are all sheep, we are all born dead

Silverstein Born Dead Comments
Esa cancion es uno De los de mas de peso :)
Sounds Sum 41 for me. :)
Your logic dosent make sense. The riff in the begining sounds like metal, so Im going to vote up the comment that says so. I never said it HAD to be metal, in fact I detest most metal
Well, in his defense, the riff in the beginning really sounded like a metal-like riff.
This song really sound like an hardcore punk song. I guess it's because of Scott Wade
They're post-hardcore.
Yeah thats why this is called post hardcore its like a more heavy form of rock
yeah good the metalcore ;)
I miss scott wade in comeback kid
@brownie81 same here :)
'So sit behind your desk and tell me how I'm supposed to feel inside.' I fucking love that line.
the breakdown at 1:30 was just too sick
First Silverstein ive listened to in about 5 years and all because Scott Wade...featuring him sure paid off.
@88HolyDiver i dont think you wer looking Deaths, i personally think u wer looking for Justin Bieber
@Kaz999998 i was talking aboutyour caveman analogy. its not my opinion that the music is simplistic its a fact. this music amounts to childrens music. its the same reason why people like lady gaga, its catchy, thier arent too many notes, no time changes and everything stays in a nice little box for your undeveloped child brains.
@88HolyDiver Ah, but I did not compare them. And everyone has their own opinion on what type of music they like most. Now, you can be ignorant and totally disregard that, OR you can actually stop complaining about different music and stop acting like people do to Justin Beiber. (:
@Kaz999998 this isnt even comparable. this is the most basic shit ever, no solos, and same note patters over and over again. typical for radio garbage. i know some people love their simplicity, its like how children like picture books.
@88HolyDiver Just because you create something doesn't mean some one can't branch off of it and make it 10x better. (: A caveman created the wheel, we have cars now. KThnxbye.
@Kaz999998 yeah the guys who created death metal are gay. good call professor
@88HolyDiver I just listened to what you were looking for. XD You're so gay.
luv it <3
wow this shit sucks, i was looking for Deaths "born dead" and this garbage comes up. lame vocals, mediocre riffs, and no solo= garbage. learn2realmusic
wolfgang jack It is punk rock
God silverstein is so amazing! and the fag who said he thought they would sound like suicide silence, I hope you burn in hell, that is an insult to this band
Haha when I heard the very beginning I thought I was about to here some suicide silence or something.
Breakdown kicks ass!
@Alien4ever23 BMTH is Deathcore really :3
@jondunning09 was it just me or did it sound like the slipknot song Opium of the people?
who is scott wade?
PONGAN ALGO DEL REGRESO PUTOS =O
@Alien4ever23 yeah, you would think so, but their earlier material most definitely was deathcore, not to mention that its those kinds of riff, definitely in the same scale, that most deathcore artists use when not playing palm muted chugga chugga riffs. I just did a youtube seach for deathcore, and there was a vid featuring 20 deathcore bands, and the first song by Whitechapel used that progression.
Then why are you here...?
@Nizzemanden BMTH are metalcore dude xD but yes it could have been a metalcore intro. I can't see that kind of riff in a Whitechapel or a Suicide Silence song xD
@karloskoeman Nope.
is this a cover?
from whom?
yeah, i swear, that intro could have been bring me the horizon, or any other deathcore band.
@Nizzemanden Deathcore intro ?
yeah, whats up with the deathcore intro?
@Nizzemanden Agreed
i saw them live a couple of times and i think theyve sucked since When The Shadows Beam :(
freeking love this song!
Scott Wade is a really good singer but I don't like his voice in that song. Also, the breakdown pretty suck.
P.S. No, I don't hate Silverstein. I saw them live a couple of times and I just dislike that song.
the song does sound like a three way in the vocals shane of silverstein and andrew and scott from CBK
is scott wade a vegetarian cause silverstein are :D
dont you dicks talk about scott wade, know your music. hes the original singer to comeback kid and is one of the most respectd vocalists in hardcore. Scott is the fuckin shit!
shut up !
its comeback kid
Shane Told + Scott Wade? = Fuking goood this is my fav song so far.... keep doing good silverstein... nice
CBK was way better wiht Scott, not that I hate the new singing but the overall sound was even better with their earlier albums, this song is so sick its good to see scott Wade still doin stuff
oh sorry. I thought I first listened to it in early 2006. Youre right. I was to lazy to look it up lol
no they released broadcasting early 2007 feburary, Scott left cbk in May of 2006 or maybe sometime that summer.. shortly after, they started to record broadcasting
i love andrew neufeld!
:Pgood song
Yeah, i love cbk too. But i think better was Scott, than this actually vocalist... I hope they will not fail new album. So i exect they will record and relase it soon, because i am bored sometimes with old albums :P
Greetings for all CBK fans.
ya I remember he left a bit before they released broadcasting in early 2006. I think the guitarist replaced him. He actually sounds a lot like scott though... he's just raspier.
Oh man I love comeback kid. Shipwreck in the sand completely makes my day(yes the whole album is kickass imo)
@jmkosiek
But not anymore, he has left in 2006 i think.
comeback kid
YEAH I LOVE SUM 41!!! oh wait, this is silverstein.
the 7/4 is breakdown is epic, most bands cant pull that off
The breakdown in this song kicks ass, could have been a little longer and leveled down a bit but the 808's rock in my car haha. I dig this CD!
I wonder why no one adds some " omfg i hate those emo bands" on this song, like on the others....
p.s.: I don't think Silverstein is emo. Maybe because Emo is a Fashion and not a Genre thought....
no, he sounds like the lead singer from comeback kid.
scott wade sounds like the singer from sum 41 exactly. i think his name was derrik whimbly spelt wrong
Actually it is post hardcore; screaming mixed with singing, drums stop a few beats to allow for a guitar solo, pure badass rock. It's not merely rock, this is purely post-hardcore ftw.
salut, comment t'appelles-tu?
love hardcore <3<3<3
Lmao , this is not "hardcore"
idk if you ever really listened to punk yea theres alot of yelling vocals not exactly screaming I think the yelling fits the song
Errr what was with people talking about whats hardcore and not...?
This isent exactly hardcore but who gives a fuck it's still good.
Hardcore and heavy and crap is JFAC..and like Living Sacrifice and what not.
Then again like metfans said ''Fuck genres.''
thats right
who is scott wade?
What band is Scott Wade from?
True lol
I love the beggining ^^, Kinda like BMTH, but much better xD
You can't possibly judge what someone is like in like 4 youtube comments.
Man the new album is AWESOME!
That's not true, how would you know? Make sure you state your opinions not fake facts.
Except without the shittyness. BMTH uses the same riffs in every song and ollie sucks at screaming.
Comeback kid is Victory Records, Sum41 is not.
same thought raa694
yes man :D
thats what i said when i first heard it
well its only drop d
This new album is fuckin amazing
yeah it kinda sounded like a crazy shit screamo band like ismfof or like bmth and shit lol
the beginning sounds like BMTH - pray for plagues xDD
Only a little bit slower
most hardcore silverstein intro lol
wades kinda sounds like the guy from beastie boys, love this song
yea i also think he sounds like the guy from sum41
fxcking awesome!
i thought the same thing before i read ur comment :] but jfac is cool too.
not at all
the opening seems like something by
like
job for a cowboy
er
something
The intro reminds me of Calling of Syrens - Kill the Lights.
And Scott's vocals aren't bad at all, I think they make this song.
Am I the only one who thinks the opening sounds like the style Sum41 uses to start songs?
Man This new cd is amazing...I'm so glad they worked with Scott Wade who used to be with Comeback Kid, and Liam of Cancer Bats...awesome work and Shane's scream is awesome
fuckin sick, idc about that other screamer but hes shit compared to shane LOL!
the first 5 seconds sound exactly like the intro to become the catalyst by all that remains!! these guys kick ass though (:
