It's got a very "Volumes" sound to it, but I'll give it a try nonetheless (what I'm insinuating is I've heard this before because it doesn't sound too different).

To me, this is more like what I wish volumes was. Much more well thought lyrics and better composition keeps me interested in these guys, while volumes seems to fall short there.

Solid State is a Christian Label, so typically the bands will be also. And what @allooutrick said is also true. I remember those verses, and like the song. I can't wait to see where they go~

I find the lyrics very interesting with all those footnotes which takes them to a.deeper level where we can really understand them in the way that they were meant to be

For me it was the way he pronounced "lies" at 0:46 
There's an subtle "r" sound that Ryan does a lot. Awesome and aggressive.

No need to complain about Silent Planet (who, by the way, are one of the best and most unique bands in the metalcore scene now)

I haven't heard anything about that. I know that they had some member changes before their second album, and that the vocalist said in an interview that he was a Christian, but I don't know about the rest of the band

@Galen LaRone Could easy be. I don't necessarily agree with the Universalist docrine because I don't see it as Biblical, however I do think BAAO make awesome music and that they spread a truly positive message in a scene that has started lacking one.
