Silent Planet - Visible Unseen Lyrics

Speak to me in a language only Lovers can understand. Dance with me in a rhythm only Lovers can comprehend. One fist gripping defiance, other cradling the sacred inside of our hands: Pariah.

It's the pain of becoming - confronting what stirs within. I wanted to show you apocalypse so you could see just how this ends - as it begins. No place to rest your head, no respite for an anathema. Banished for the sin of honesty - from the citadel of little hidden hells.

Pyroglyphic: I saw Your face inside the fire. Monolithic: a dominance that dictates desire. Ultimatum: dual damnations dichotomize me. Suffocation: crushed beneath holy hypocrisy.

This isn't love this is escape.

Exiled into the night, left to navigate a world that negates our needs: The Visible Unseen.

You're the weight I'll always carry through a world so cold. You'll never walk alone.
We will find a place to lay our heavy heads. These lonely roads will always lead you home.

Am I only flawed when I am alive? Only your child if I live denied? I ask of you, Benevolence, was I made just to be broken? Our faith became a silver shield - insulated from compassion. Praising the prosperity, repressing the identity.

I'll show you hell is a place - it's in the secrets we keep. Oh God how those secrets keep me.

This isn't love this is escape.
This isn't love this is escape.

Coerced conformity fixed on the dust in their eye. Forest fires rage in mine.

I never thought to ask. When you said she was asleep did you hear my disbelief? The bitter irony, that I wait for God as she dies beside me.

You're the weight I'll always carry through a world so cold. You'll never walk alone.
We will find a place to lay our heavy heads. These lonely roads will always lead you home.

We found our place in the disconnect of neglect. These lonely roads will always lead you home. Until our paths converge give me eyes to see The Visible Unseen. These lonely roads will always lead you home.

Speak to me in a language only Lovers can understand. One fist gripping defiance, other cradling the sacred inside of our hands.

Fast forward to 2019 and this is what coming out as a Christian and Conservative looks like

  6. B.... D....

The burden of sin was bore upon the cross by the Lord Jesus Christ. Anyone who places the burden of sin upon a sinner to be saved is propagating a false gospel of self-righteousness. Jesus paid it all... and He died in our place taking the punishment we all deserve...

Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through repentance and faith. God will not save anyone who is trying to be saved of themselves, He will only save those who know they need a savior and are trusting Him to be saved. The only requirement to be saved is to admit that you are a guilty sinner in God's sight (Romans 3:19-26) and to turn to Jesus Christ in faith trusting in His death burrial and Ressurection (Romans 10:9-13). You must come as an ungodly sinner to be saved. No one has ever been saved except the UNGODLY (Romans 4:5-8). God doesn't save the self-righteous, who are going about to establish their own righteousness (Matthew 7:21-23). We can only be saved by God's righteousness, which is through faith in Christ. Philippians 3:9 says, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.”
Christ set the bar for holiness at a level all Christians are called to aspire to grow towards, but none can ever fully live up to, because of our sin nature we will forever wrestle agaisnt our flesh until our time here has expired. Just as the law of Moses was meant, in part to demonstrate to Israel how impossible it was for mortal man to obtain the moral perfection of God, the standards of Christ also remind us of how shallow our best efforts at goodness really are.Thankfully, God has always provided a way for us to be forgiven for our shortcomings.

Christ was a sinless, blameless substitute for our sins. The Bible clearly tells us what Christ’s moral expectations are for us. If we lost our salvation every time we fell short of those ideals, then none of us would be saved for more than a few days at a time. If that were true, what purpose was there in His death?

The Apostle John tells us “Beloved, now we are children of God and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is” (1 John 3:2). That is speaking of final perfection that is not “now" but is future.

you know for a guy who has such ''nice messages'' why everyone in his group are bunch of damn close-minded assholes? Trashing me for my opinion, instead of clarifying me on some details? Man, fuck his group.

  20. K.... L....

My cousin showed me this band the other day and I can confidently said I’ve fallen in love. They’ve also reinstated my love for metal. 💙

  21. J.... L....

that chorus is so fucking powerful
    what a song

  22. R.... H....

The lyrics are good, but it's to vague for me to promote the band as a Christian Metalcore band.

  23. G.... ....

    Goosebumps

  24. J.... R....

Amazing all around. They just keep getting better and better with each album. Instrumentally. Lyrically. Songwriting ability. Everything. 👑

    Great song

  31. W.... ....

I don't want to start a war at all, I simply wish to state my beliefs. I personally believe that homosexuality, specifically the act itself and *NOT* the state of being homosexual, is a sin. That does not change a single thing about how I feel about people. At the end of the day, the LGBT community are people too. They deserve to live their lives how they wish to live them. And it is for that reason that I applaud Silent Planet for saying this. *NO PERSON SHOULD EVER BE MARGINALIZED AND SHUNNED FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS.* Especially when it is something so uniquely part of being human. Being homosexual does not and cannot deny you entrance into heaven, the only thing that can ever irrevocably deny you entry is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Outside of that, nothing is unforgivable.

As another commentor stated, this is what being a Christian truly is. It is loving others unconditionally.

  32. C.... R....

Just learned about this song from a coworker and I'm truly moved by it :,(

  35. I.... Z....

  36. B.... u....

Finally i found a song that represents my true feelings

  37. s.... ....

sirt3z that's my Christian Metal Hardcore page on Instagram

  38. C.... ....

I love you Silent Planet, but as a Christian I can't stand behind and support gay marriage. I love them, I just can't say being gay is RIGHT. However, I can't judge them because we are all equal in sin. It is a hard subject to talk about, because I am always hated and attacked by the left and the LGBT community for what I believe in. I don't wish gays or bisexuals any harm or hate, I just want them to be saved. I don't believe being gay makes you a bad person, I just think it isn't how God intended man and woman to be. I mean Leviticus 18 & 20 clearly condemns homosexuality.

  39. B.... t....

Just saw these guys live in NY earlier this week. The lead vocalist - i don't know his name - you can tell he's a leader by what he says, how he articulates it, and the passion he packs into every syllable. And I'm just talking about the things he says between songs. He knows how to rally a room

  40. D.... G....

I hear the talent but don't buy into the hype, any recommendations for songs by these guys to check out

  41. L.... G....

    Modern day Underoath

  46. D.... ....

    I respect the silent planet.

  47. N.... C....

Just gonna go grab my dictionary..brb.

  48. S.... A....

I fucking love the breakdown and cleans. The guitars are muddy af tho. Great music.

  49. M.... B....

Despite the greatness of this record, can we all agree that Thomas is just a fake Marcus Bridge?

  50. E.... G....

definitely gotta listen to the entire album

  51. D.... O....

The song title refers to The Birdbox ;P

  52. N.... B....

So sad to have just found silent planet. Can't even finish the new album because I keep replaying so many of the songs. The riffs are insane ,melodic ,and intricate all at the same time. The lyrics are deep and make you think . The drums and bass cement everything together perfectly. Just knowing I have more past albums to go through brings me so much joy . Amazing band .

  53. J.... D....

This breakdown... My god... It's perfect, thally and djenty, exactly what I want to hear in metalcore !

  54. D.... S....

    this part 0:33 chills

  55. A.... H....

Some of these words I dont even know but the lyrics of Silent Planet have more depth than majority of bands today

  56. D.... T....

No one ever asked Silent planet to go this hard

  57. .... ....

There's so many words such "God" in their songs, why they sing about themselves ?))))

  58. J.... T....

First time hearing these guys. Fucking sick

  59. J.... G....

How is there even a dislike option on this?

  60. D.... ....

I love the chorus so much. One of the best ive ever heard honestly.

  61. N.... ....

I can never seem to hold back my tears when i listen to these lyrics, no matter how many times.

  62. S.... ....

Yes, we have an "I like this" and an "I dislike this" option, but we need "I love this" button.

    This song is blinding!

  63. S.... P....

Love this new album as a whole, very creative musicianship at the very least, however, I think someone said it best on the "Lower Empire" video. There's a certain level of naivety coming through in the lyrics. Love the band, don't hate me for my opinion.

Also when did we start adding gender acronyms to organizations focused on equal rights for people with a different SEXUALITY?

  64. T.... D....

this isn't love this is escape! so many metal bands lack in the lyrics department but whoaaaa man these guys always bring it!

  65. T.... W....

Is it just me or is the multiple color choice supposed to be reflective of the LGBTQ+ flag?

  66. B.... R....

    2:56 chills everytime

  67. R.... E....

first time listening to this and you had me at those high cleanss

  68. J.... E....

  77. J.... W....

    They are so underrated yo

  78. C.... M....

    Album of the fucking year

  79. D.... L....

this isnt about lgbt..it is about homelessnes..

    D.... L....

It's about LGBT people being homeless. Both. Hell, I'm pretty sure the lines "It's the pain of becoming, confronting what stirs within" and "Am I only flawed when I am alive, only your child if I live denied?" Are references to coming out, and the possible rejection...

    D.... L....

if you watch the interview Garret says the song is about teenagers who came out as gay and are rejected, kicked out by their own families and becoming homeless when the families have conservative views and are christian but whats funny is that Jesus loved the ones who were most rejected in bible times and gave them a home.

    D.... L....

@Caleb Fury i agree but look what you wrote..LGBT being HOMELESS..i dont care if someone is LGBT or not..i would feel bad for them and try to help.,being homeless is worse than everything, and being homeless in this way is even worse. thats my point

    D.... L....

@x _ x yes. thats why i try to help to everyone,no matter religion, color, beliefs,or sex or whatever..love everyone..thats the whole point of bible and jesus

  80. 1.... n....

That guitar lick at 2:13!!! What the actual fuck?!?

  87. R.... L....

To all LGBTQ youth: your identity will never come from the outside. Embrace who you are. Love who you are.

  88. R.... T....

9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men[a] 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (1Corinthians 6:9)

The love of God is not a mere acceptance of lifestyle. Come as you are, but you must repent of you sins and put your trust in Jesus in order to be saved. I do agree, as Christians, we should not discriminate. We have a duty to help homeless people, gay or not, find safe housing and give them warm food.

“You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? 8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance....10 “What should we do then?” the crowd asked.
11 John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.” (Luke 3:8, 10-11)

God is Love (1 John 4:8) As Christians, we have a duty to help people, but to also tell them the truth. That a gay lifestyle is wrong, as well as a drunken lifestyle, lying, stealing, and being adulterous and murderous at heart. We all fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), but we are made righteous through Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21) , by repenting of our sins, putting our trust in Him, and we should be encouraging others to do the same. LGBT are not excluded, their souls matter more than their own offense taken by the Gospel.

31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32)
3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. (Luke 13:3)

    R.... T....

Hot take. Terrible take. But a hot one.

  89. C.... T....

  91. W.... ....

My favourite from the album. Incredible work!!! However, I must say that at times the clean vocals sound ridiculously loud. Just wish they weren't that in your face.

Breakdown at 1:46 - love it.

  97. S.... ....

as a police officer, i witness many of the issues that homelessness brings firsthand and it takes some of the strongest people to survive under such conditions. This compels me to do more for them when i happen across them once again. One of the nicest and most articulate people ive ever met in my life was a homeless man who had lost everything due to his addiction. he died a unceremonious death one particularly freezing night. his death still haunts me. thank you Silent Planet
