It doesn't sound exactly like it, but it REMINDS me of The Sounds Of Animals Fighting

As awesome as this is, I think Sianvar was really unnecessary. They're way too similar to Hail the Sun and DGD, yet still manage to be as not nearly as good

Sianvar starts recording on July 5 and Secret Band is already four or five songs deep into our new album. After that, my next project is probably going to be throwback ’80s synth-pop mixed with new wave. I bought a vintage Roland Jupiter 6 synth and have been dying to use it. @LetsFightingLove Donovan said he was listening to lots of ATDI and TMV when he was writing this, very Cedrick Bixler-Zavala influenced on the vocal delivery and lyrics.  

@SilversteinRescue Yeah I can definitely see a TMV influence in there too. He's such a young talent and he's in the perfect place to flaunt that talent in a band with some of the most talented musicians on earth. I mean Will Swan, cmon son.

Loving this! Hail the Sun, Stolas, Will from Dance Gavin Dance, all in one band! This has the potential to really blow some minds! Makes me excited for Will and Jon to get that Secret Band EP out!
Side note: I know this is Will and the other guys' project, but it'd be amazing if Jon Mess were in this. Hearing Jon's screams, a pinch of his uniquely mindfuck lyrics blending with Donovan's clean vocals with his equally unique lyrics. Ahh, it'd be even better than it already is!

and Don't forget A Lot Like Birds too!!!  One of the best of those bands!!

To everybody who says they only hear a DGD sound in this. I have to completely disagree. I hear in no way any DGD in this. Of any of the bands made up in this I hear a little Stolas but to me it really is something totally new and different.

For now though, ima keep this song on repeat & keep my fingers cross & hope that Sianvar drops another single before the EP releases. :)

a friend of mine said joe's drumming was bad on this. Eh I have to disagree. This song is pretty cool. I'm gonna wait to see what the rest of the ep sounds like though. You guys definitely do have shredders. 

Joe's drumming is never bad, but drummers do have their off days I mean they we are only human after all.

I mean that is irrelevant because it's not a live performance. Drummers should never let a track recorded on an "off-day" be released on a record. Just re-do your track. 

Being on tour constantly is a bit rugged but also tracking a single and having it out in a short amount of time is also just as tough.

I don't care if you share your favorite band or not, but people pass out their opinions like it's factual information and infallible to question, so then a flame war unfolds between two egocentric dipshits. It's littered in so many band videos it tends to get old really fast, and annoying.

Honestly to me I get way too much of a DGD feel rather than a blend of AALB HTS Stolas and DGD. It's still a good song, nevertheless.
