I truly needed it because this week my 95-year-old Maternal Aunt went home to be with the Lord. She loved classic gospel music like that of Ms. Caesar's. I do personal like the FIRST AND STRICTLY SECULAR PART OF THIS SONG----and its significance for family life in general, and the mother-son/daughter relationship in particular----which can and should be appreciated, WITHOUT MAKING REFERENCE to the RIDICULOUS ANALOGY with the meaningless Christian Mythology.....The life of the dull-witted Christian "believer"---or the believer in any other ridiculous religious mythology----has more in common with the lives of other members of our large primate family, than with the lives of us sophisticated elite academics...I feel utterly sorry for those many imbeciles who are incapable of emancipating themselves IN THEIR ADULT LIFE from the ridiculous indoctrination they received, starting from their early days of infancy, when they were hauled into the churches, and "initiated" into the Christian Club, through that funny water-sprinkling ritual the Christians call "baptism". And they joined the "Club" without rendering a decision of THEIR OWN CHOICE....That in itself is a serious mental/spiritual abuse....
