Shirley Bassey - Everything That Touches You Lyrics

You say you're all alone
With visions all your own
The thing you feel nobody feels the same
But you, you know me you know what I've been through

Everything that touches me
And verything that touches me
Everything that touches me
Touches you

Friends along the road
May lighten up your load
By saying what they think you really want to hear
But I'll only tell you what I feel is true
'Cause everything that touches me
A everything that touches me,
Everything that touches me Touches you

Share 'cause I can't take you there
Unless I know a part of what you're thinking
Care, cause it's only fare
And darling can't you feel my heart is breaking
My heart is breaking

Everything that touches me
Everything that touches me
Everything that touches me, touches you

Everything that touches me
Everything that touches me
Everything that touches me, touches you

Everything that touches me
Everything that touches me
Everything that touches me, touches you

Shirley Bassey Everything That Touches You Comments

Nobody remembers Sheryl Lee Ralph and Philip Michael Thomas singing itb

The version used on the 'b' side of the single 'Living' is slightly different to this one and in my opinion better. It's a lovely song and one of my favourites. I've heard the versions by Bonnie Raitt and The Walker Brothers but not by Michael Kamen. I play Shirley's single version a lot ... it's stunning. Nice to find this on here.

Yes, yes, yes. I just discovered this!! I had been in love with Kamen's song for over 30 years and just now listened to Ravel's "Pavane!" Wow.

  5. r.... ....

I remember the Bonnie Raitt version.

Wow, I did not know that... great to know where the song came from... did also not know that Bonnie covered it too. Great!!!

Michael Kamen left New York Rock and Roll Ensemble and went through a period of trying to be a solo act. His album New York Rock contained his composition and sank without a trace. Thank goodness it survived in versions by other performers such as Shirley Bassey and Bonnie Rait. It is a first-rate song! Thanks!

Incredible. Now I start to understand why Kamen was so commecial in the latter stages: He simply learned his lessons.

What a world we live in. Imagine if this talent had been rewarded for being what it is.
