Just read the lyrics. The tale of a woman who gave all her love to a boy she fell in love with at 17. Now married to him she's 32 and wonders what she ever saw in him. That last line got me. "I woke this morning/To the sound of breaking hearts/Mine is full of questions/And it's tearing yours apart." It's the intimacy quotient. You may not love your husband... or fell out of love with him for his many lies but you still have intimate moments with your 1st true love. Most just fail let alone get 1st true love's intimacy.

When I hear Sheryl Crow singing...Makes me wonder how beautiful her feet were before she walked upon the Earth.

Wow I'm 31 and finally purging all the crap out. I spent 10 years with someone I never truly was in love with. I had dreams of being with other men constantly throughout the years. Turns out I end up with a man I've known my entire life who has been under my nose the entire time. Life is funny. But this song is beautiful. It goes well with my healing journey along with 'difficult kind' which is probably my favorite. What an amazing artist!

The only wonderful beauty in this ugly video is Shery Crow !!

While the people in this video are having happy moments of "innocent fun", it makes me ill to watch it...especially the men and the pig...because they're so similar, and a grim reminder, of the hidden but rampant abuse I endured as a child, and that I saw animals endure, and women, though they were often equally abusive, just for different reasons and in different ways. I went back to Mississippi to help after Hurricane Katrina, but went north from the coast to a rural area to help with dogs being transported to Memphis to get on a truck to New England. I had gotten tired of people around Gulfport telling us that we weren't doing enough for them, so I decided to help dogs instead. Everyone in that rural area and their brother, it seemed, was a chain-smoking lazy drunk, making money either through gambling at Tunica, or meth labs, or dog breeding and fighting. Some used Indian reservations for their criminal activity because the Indians would hide them from the law.

So beautifully see so many white peoples. I love it.

None of that is my kind of entertainment, and having grown up with people not terribly different from that, I know a lot of the lies and abuse that lurk in that environment. But, to answer your question, I think she just wants to show them (and us) she's not above getting dirty, and not above those people.

This is what a good part of us look like....how can you not love this country....
