Sheeran, Ed - Ag Smaoineamh Ós Ard Lyrics

Nuair is Léir nach seasann do chosa níos mó
’S nach leannan do shúil mar a bhíodh,
An mbeidh teacht ar do bheáilín ar bhlaiseadh mo ghrá,
An mbeidh d’aghaidh ag fogairt d’aoibh

A stórín beidh mé ag fanacht leat féin go seachtó naoi,
A Leana is tú an duine dom fiú ag fiche trí,
Tá mé ag rá leat go dtiteann daoin’ I ngrá gan aon chúis ná haoin bhrí,
Bfháidir gan ach bhuille ar lámh.

Titim féin I ngrá leat arís ’s arís,
Tá rud at intinn agam ag rá,
Bí lion ann,
Féadfaidh tú mé a thógáil anocht,
Oh lui liomsa faoin solas ón oíche gheall,
Éist le buillí mo chroí ar m’ucht.

Ag smaoinimh ós ard,
A leana. Fuairmuid neamh anseo ar domhain.

Nuair atá mé níos sinne is ag briseadh go mann,
Dearmaid deanta ar m’ainm aríst,
Gan mo lamh in ann,
Don mhéid ceanna,
Ó is tú a bheidh,
Fós i mo chroí.

Beidh tú liomsa, is mise leatsa go deo mo chroí,
’S tú le feiceáil gach oiche I mo bhringlóidí,
Tá mé ag rá leat,

Go dtiteann daoin’ I ngrá gan aon chúis ná haoin bhrí,
B’fhéidir go Amba chuid é don phlean,
Mise agus tusa le cheile go deo,
Ag glacadh go mbeidh tuilleadh ar lean.

Bí liom ann,
Féadfaidh tú mé a thógáil anoch,
Oh lui liomsa faoin solas ón oíche gheall,
Éist le buillí mo chroí ar m’ucht.

Ag smaoineamh ós ard

A leana. Fuairmuid neamh anseo ar domhain. [x3]

  34. Paul Mathews

Well, he couldn't have done this without trying really hard to get it right, a couple of mispronounced words are totally forgivable in a language he does not speak.

  45. Hey It's Rach

Is this actually Ed singing? fair play to him if it is, Irish is a hard language to learn.

    Opal Ou

I think it is. I’m so familiar with Ed’s voice and it really sounds like this

    catherine meade

@Ava I'm Irish, i've been learnin the language since I was five...I can barely say hi in the damn language ;o; we don't even use the language so I don't get it o-o

    Wazkaty

@Chris Parkey It depends of your mother tongue, I'm french and morrocan and español is so easy for me (structures, temporality, la jota which exists in arabic and morrocan arabic)
My mother is from britain (France), so I always heard celtic songs, and it seems for me an analogic language to morrocan, it's so weird I can't explain it and it can be totally wrong but I feel a link between those two languages. Only pronunciación is unusual for me, Irish so beautiful and the vocabulary comes "easy"

    Ðamoj Il

@Chris Parkey En mi opinión, está más facil aprender Español porque la gramatica es más simple y facil aprender.

    lauren Duffy 04

    Yup it's him

  46. Lucy Mcdonnell

it was published on my birthday ☺☺☺☺

  47. Alannah O'Toole

he sounds like hea sayin my name wen he says A leana

    Aoife Nig Shamhrain

Leana is the name of the girl in the song, a is put before someone's name when you're addressing them.

    RicochetingRocketDog

That's because he is essentially saying your name (and mine too). Alannah, alana, and a leana are all derivatives of 'a leanbh', which literally means 'baby'. Traditionally, it was a term of endearment for children, recently used as a first name for girls

    RicochetingRocketDog

Although Aoife is correct that the 'a' signifies that he's addressing someone as baby rather than talking about her to someone else

  48. xCrystal Hetaliansx
