Shane & Shane - Acres Of Hope Lyrics

He will allure her
He will pursue her
Call her out
To wilderness with flowers in his hands

She is responding
Beat up and hurting
Deserving death
Offerings of life are found instead

She will sing, she will sing
Oh, to you
She will sing in the days of you
As you lead her away to valleys, Lord
Oh, acres of hope

Acres of hope
Here in the valley
Walk close beside me
Don't look back
For love is growing
Vineyards up ahead

You have called me master
Though you are in the dark here
Call me friend
And call me lover, very near for good

She will sing, she will sing
Oh, to you
She will sing in the days of youth
As you lead her away to valleys, Lord
Acres of hope

Acres of hope
How the story ends is
Love and tenderness in him
Not safe, but worth it, so worth it
So valleys up ahead
With the ones we live

We will sing together
Oh, we'll sing
We'll sing together
Oh, Lord we'll sing
We'll sing together
Oh, Lord we'll sing
We'll sing together
Lord, we'll sing

We will sing, we will sing
Oh, to you
We will sing, we will sing
In the days to you
As you lead us away to valleys, Lord
To acres of hope
Acres of hope

Shane & Shane Acres Of Hope Comments

God gave me the story of Hosea and Gomer many years as a prophetic picture of my life. I have been to prison and done a lot of terrible things. God promised me that my latter years will be far greater than my former years. Even when it has been tough and hard to see anything good, I have stuck with God. I have learned how truly worthy He is of my love and loyalty. This song has been a staple throughout these long years. I have the gift of hearing God's voice clearly. As I was cooking dinner just now I felt like He said go sit down, I have something I want to tell you. He calmed my fears of failing, told me how as long as He is with me, there is no way I can fall. He has placed me "high up" in a safe and secure place. Then at the end, He reminded me of this song after all these years (7 to be exact) He said to me "You will call me friend". I don't feel like I can get across how amazing what I heard Him say is. I have walked through so many valleys and this was His way of telling me prophetically that the Acres of Hope He promised me all those years ago are just around the corner.

Every Graduation your Acres of Hope song is played. We are a ministry to Homeless Single Mothers. They come with their young children under the age of 10. They get a place to live for up to 2 years, and restore their lives through the love of Jesus. They are counseled, helped with employment and finishing education. They get their children back from Cps. They find out that God cares about them too. Our Ministry is called Acres of Hope. Below is the story our Executive Director wrote for our facebook page and donor emails. Thank you for giving us inspiration to fight for the ones God seeks to love. We would love to here from you sometime Shane and Shane. I am also sharing one of our current residents most recent testimony below.

    WHAT'S IN A NAME
Ever wonder about where we got our name? Our name originated from the song “Acres of Hope” by recording artists Shane and Shane. The concept for the song is based on the Book of Hosea in the Old Testament where a woman, Hosea’s wife, strays into a destructive lifestyle. In this touching story, Hosea is called by God to buy her out of slavery and restore her as his wife. The result is a clear picture of God’s love for each of us, and His desire to bring new life and restoration despite our bad choices. Acres of Hope is a place of restoration, healing, and grace. It provides the opportunity for destructive patterns to be turned around and hope to be restored.
Therefore I am now going to allure her.
I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her. There I will give her back her vineyards and will make the Valley of Achor (trouble) a door of Hope. There she will sing as in the days of her youth.
    ~Hosea 2:14-15
