Sepultura - Relentless Lyrics

Forward - Can´t stop to pace my steps
Onward - Never stood for second best

I´m relentless, I am always
I wont let this die
No words - Is not the life which I have led

I´m relentless - I want vengeance

Slow burn - Only got what I have done
Progress - To under take the task at hand

I´m relentless, I am always
I wont let this die
Timeless – Unscathed with attitude

I´m relentless - I want vengeance

People always say that are grateful to Sepultura comes back to Thrash Metal, but the funny fact is most of them miss the times Sepultura were heading to what became Soulfly, something tribal. I understand brasilians relate with that because of their roots, but in the last 3 albuns of Sepultura thay have been doing great stuff, unlike Max with his bands, his last material has been disappointing.

2:21 sounds a little like slayer seasons in the abyss

  11. a.... s....

i 2nd that.but i do think that max has done the better work after spultura even if he doesn't have andreas he still made some pretty good music.Last incarnations from soulfly and cavelera conspiracy indeed are pretty awfull, the last cd enslaved almost completly sucked and the band is getting repetetive with repeating lyrics over and over and mark rizzo just isn't the guitarist that andreas is.

  12. C.... D....

YEAH!!! you're right HAIL OLD SCHOOL SEPULTURA!!! This song really sucks!!! just like all the albums since Max has gone from sepultura!

  13. h.... ....

  14. C.... ....

Ohhhh god I never thought this would happen. Sepultura have finally decided to go back to thrash metal. I am VERY happy. :')

  15. C.... ....

  16. C.... ....

  17. R.... ....

Derrick is good, Max is better

  18. W.... ....

Guys....I have a question,....Who you think is better?
Sepultura or Soulfly?.....They both do awesome job on thrash metal, It's hard to tell..

@HeavyMetalBeliever Dante had a couple of good tracks. I think Sepultura are finding their muse again after lineup changes (although with Eloy Casagrande joining we have to see how that now affects them) but it'll be harsh to kick Derrick out when they're getting back on their feet. He'll have to leave of his own accord for anything to happen. And Max and Iggor won't come back. CavCon's going quite well for them and Soulfly's a good creative outlet for Max.

@Rorromode Some great tracks on BFT, Inflikted was boss. Omen was a bit hit and miss, Conquer was OK, Dark Ages was fantastic. Kairos is a great album, best album since Max left (not saying Sepultura have been bad as some of their songs have been awesome such as Convicted in Life from Dante), Soulfly's new album is set to be back on form too considering the lineup and everything else going for it. Sounds like it's gonna be back to death metal.

  21. B.... H....

    Back to the roots ?

  22. t.... ....

i saw them live yesterday here in germany in a small club and they were fuckin epic...best live performance from a band i saw lately

  23. R.... ....

Everything changes. I love Sepultura. Indeed, I love the Kairos CD of Sepultura. Some say that without Max and Igor there's no Sepultura, well, I'd rather the new Sepultura CD than the last three CDs of Soulfly, or the last disc of Cavalera Conspirancy, which really, REALLY SUCKS to me.

  24. z.... ....

Guys, be quiet, this song is good...

Just sit back and enjoy it?

  25. R.... ....

I don't think Sepultura purposedly would try to drive away their new fans. My immediate feeling of this new albums is that they are somewhat confused. But I will buy and hear it anyway.

But remark that the meaning of this title "Kairos" according to Andreas is, as I interpret it, that time brought them to where and what they are now. You could always argue they should or could have done something else, but time, or kairos, brought them where they are now to what they are now.

  26. R.... ....

@HeavyMetalBeliever I was trying to appeal to your ability to see it from other perspectives. You don't have to like Dante XXI and A-Lex to understand that they have fans who like them. Many old fans as well. I like them as much as I like Chaos A.D. I also think Against is overall better than Roots. They have something that I don't find among most "metal" bands. It is alive.
But my main point is that they can't go back to their Arise days. They ought to stay on their recent new path.

  27. S.... ....

@RSFO I don't think Dante XXI and A-Lex were all that good and Kairos is a painfully obvious retread of Arise. Honestly, Andreas and Paulo should turf Derrick out of the band and get a Brazilian vocalist who can play rhythm guitar too. So Sepultura are now trying to drive away their new fans now?

  28. R.... ....

@HeavyMetalBeliever I happen to like the "New Sepultura" a lot, but I actually have the same feeling as you have on this one. But they shouldn't reunite though. We can always hear Arise or Chaos A.D. I happen to think they should have continued their path with concept albums like A-Lex and Dante XXI. Consider it. Some people don't like the new Sepultura, but they got new fans who do. Now they suddenly look like guys who do not know what they want to do! We can't get the old Sepultura back.

  29. S.... ....

@paniclayer I think a true reunion would be good seeing as it worked remarkably well for other bands.

  30. J.... M....

    @HeavyMetalBeliever
I agree with the Andreas-Max part. But nobody could say if a true reunion was the best option, it could have been a real disapointement as well.

  31. S.... ....

@paniclayer A-Lex wasn't really that good though, the fact it was based on A Clockwork Orange nonwithstanding

Kisser and Paulo Jr's songwriting doesn't really stack up to the "Andreas-Max" songwriting partnership. And Max can't really write songs without Andreas. Pity Andreas rubbished any chance of a Sepultura reunion.

  32. J.... M....

    @HeavyMetalBeliever
Wasn't that what everyone said when they released A-Lex ?
I think that now that Sepultura has been freed from Igor's influence on songwriting (he and Hatebreed were good friends as far as I remember), and now Kisser and Polo Junior are both left with songwriting duties. And after listening to the last Cavalera Conspiracy and Soufly releases, I can attest that this record is at least as good as what Max Cavalera is capable of, and what I hear is Kisser's signature, no doubt.

  33. S.... ....

I wonder why I'm getting this feeling that Sepultura only made Kairos in an attempt to ressurect their Max-led heyday.
