Really fortuitous that this album and song would drop yesterday. I feel like my life is spinning out of control and I don't have the will to push forward. But Senses Fail is a band I come to again and again, as they help me through these difficult times. But this song is eerie in how much it sounds like me. Like, with a lot of their songs I have to stretch a tad to say it applies to me. But the entirety of the song is 100% me.

I got one of the big boy tickets for their tour that allows me to have lunch with Buddy (and his dog Lucy!!!!), so I'm looking forward to that as kind of a checkpoint for the year. I will push to make it that far at the very least. :)

Suffice to say, I love this song and album. Pull the Thorns From Your Heart is thus far the only Senses Fail album I have not been a huge fan of. It had a very dark and almost cacophonous sound juxtaposed by really uplifting lyrics. It just didn't mesh well for me. This new album, on the other hand, while I am unable to connect with most of the latter half based on me not being a father or a survivor of a miscarriage, strikes so many checkmarks for me and it is such a wonderful return to the sound that made me fall in love with Senses Fail in the first place. <3

Indiefanatic33 I don't think it's that great but my taste is more for their heavier stuff.

Jason- I see where you come from (Personally I like the heavier stuff too) but hearing that classic Let It Enfold You/Still Searching sound has my fanboy ass jamming like mad.
But hey maybe that new APC album that has now been confirmed to release in April might have a good chance as an AOTY contender.
