Senses Fail - Calling All Cars Lyrics

Calling all cars we've got another victim
'Cause my love has become an affliction
What did you expect from me?
What did you expect from me?

I'm sorry but I think I failed to mention
That I lied at my very first confession
What did you expect from me?
What did you expect from me?

'Cause this has been building since I have been breathing
And I know how it's going to end

So will you scatter my ashes where they won't be found?
I kept my word when I swore that I would let you down
And now that I'm gone
Try to forget me and just move on
So will you scatter my ashes where they won't be found?
I kept my word and you hate me for it now
You knew all along
Try to forget me and just move on

Oh my dear, what have I gone and done now?
It's curtain call, I'm about to take my last bow
What did you expect from me?
What did you expect from me?

Without giving away the entire ending
I ruined the evening again

So will you scatter my ashes where they won't be found?
I kept my word when I swore that I would let you down
And now that I'm gone
Try to forget me and just move on
So will you scatter my ashes where they won't be found?
I kept my word and you hate me for it now
You knew all along
Try to forget me and just move on

I don't have love left inside, inside
And I don't have love left inside, inside
Are you desperate for an answer?
I don't have an ounce of good left in me now
That's why I walked out

So will you scatter my ashes where they won't be found?
I kept my word when I swore that I would let you down
And now that I'm gone
Try to forget me and just move on
So will you scatter my ashes where they won't be found?
I kept my word and you hate me for it now
You hate me for it now
Try to forget me and just move on

I am not the one that you should blame
So take what I left you for the pain
I am not the one that you should blame
So take what I left you for the pain
And do your best to forget my name

I wish all these dudes understood the real mark they left on all of us, not just Senses Fail but all the good bands from that time. Still brings so much joy and release maybe even more now that we're all getting to the age they were when they wrote their songs so shit's way more relatable now.

  68. f.... k....

Can we go back to 2012? I was only 5 and don't remember

    f.... k....

I mean fuck, I feel lost in time, I'm picked on for listening to this era of music, my personality fits more with that 2000's kid. This country now is just unfit to me. I'd give millions to have one community of kids that didn't have all this new stress. I really feel like this kind of music is my spiritual chorus. All of my *true* friends are older kids who grew with this. I just feel displaced. I spent my younger years inside playing my ds. I didn't have nearly enough exposure to this beautiful, perfect culture. Depeche mode, senses fail, foo fighters, smash mouth, you name it. I just hate my dumb idiotic self for not growing up in this culture. On the off chance someone sees this, just know, I've lost myself.

    f.... k....

And yes I know this is like 05 06 but well yea still

  69. b.... h....

lol he has something in his teeth

  70. .... ....

  71. J.... H....

Still the best era of music in 40yrs

  72. B.... ....

Whos here from the juice world snap😂

  73. R.... T....

Oh man, this takes me back. I miss the simple days of listening to bands like senses fail, dashboard confessional, and a plethora of other pop punk and metal core bands that I can’t remember at the moment on songbird or Winamp.

When I was listening to these bands, I never thought they’d be nostalgic but here we are. It’s amazing how bittersweet it is. Nowadays I’m an adult and my music tastes have slightly changed but god knows I will always have a place in my heart for these 2000s punk bands.

  74. A.... P....

First time i heard this when im still in college

  75. N.... H....

Decent song but boy the video is really uncomfortable... In a sexual way lmao

  87. J.... R....

I remember, this song was in a burnout game

  88. H.... W....

My favorite band by a long shot. Nothing comes close to them. I wish they got a lot bigger, but at the same time that may have changed their music. Buddy's lyrics were great because he went through so much crap and heartbreaks in his life. If he was a super rockstar with millions I doubt the music would be that emotional and relateable to every john and jane doe. I haven't liked any of their music past Renacer and I think thats because Buddy got a hold of his life and started writing more "happy songs" to put it one way. Also Senses Fail isn't Senses Fail without Heath, Garret, and Mike in it. I am happy Buddy's getting his life on track and seems to be doing better, so I can't blame him for what the musics become. I guess all I'm saying is that I miss the old Senses Fail. I'll never stop listening to all the original band albums.

    H.... W....

I thought Thorns was great, there's nothing quite like it but it didn't click with me at first.

The new album is pretty enjoyable, but it's clear that Heath and Garrett had a huge influence not only in guitar work, but the overall song structure and composition that is clearly lacking when comparing it to SS (or even LINAWR). It's probably their worst album all things considered.

Can't see them every touching this record though. It's a lightning in a bottle moment. It has a recognizable sound all it's own among the SF discography and Buddy's delivers one of the best performances in rock history (not exaggerating). His vocals sound like streaks of white light across his dark work world that the lyrics describe, like beautiful cries for help. Combine that with the guitars and what might be Dan's best performances as well and it's easy to see why this album is so unforgettable.

    H.... W....

Oh yeah, Buddy has one of a kind great vocals that tie everything together, but he's not all that makes SF great in my opinion. It's mostly to do with Trapp's intricate and crazy drum beats that are constantly changing and have no filler throughout all the songs, definitely Heath and Garrett's guitar style, a lot of beefed up power chords and off-beats that always fit perfect and of course Buddy's vocals just fit so amazingly well, he has the more whiny but aggressive tone I love that I've never heard in anyone else before. When I listened to man overboard I thought it totally sucked comparing it to the original SF style. And I don't know why but I just can't seem to gel with any of the new stuff. What really got me hooked on senses fail was their totally different style. I literally think this sounded like a new genera all on it's own that was just the greatest thing I've ever heard in my life. I'm constantly going through Still Searching, Life is not a waiting room, and Let it enfold you day to day and it never ceases to amaze me at just how perfect it all sounds. Even though I've listened to everything literally thousands of times, It just doesn't get old. And I've never ever in my life found a band with songs that don't get old after a while. If I can guarantee one thing in my life, it's that SF will always be a part of it.
