As a big fan of Senses Fail, I'm really happy and proud of the direction Buddy took with the lyrics: positive and a lot of hopes. I don't care if he doesn't sing about how he gets drunk or how he has to find himself, now he sings about how he's happy and how he found himself and how he found peace.
I didn't like the album at first, but now, I really think it's the best one with Still Searching.

i find it funny when people complain about the progression and change of bands, you obviously haven't seen their past interviews, they no longer care what people think of their sound/music they put out the music they want and love. Every band goes through it especially during the 4th and 5th albums, Its about them not about you, enjoy it or go away.

slow your roll man, you just want off the deep end there. All I meant from the "whiny" was his voice. That was the topic we were going on anyway. Every single album they made is special in their own way and I'll always be a fan.

What? I love all of SF's music, but who are you to write off Buddy's deepest shames, depressions, and thoughts as him being a whiny 20 year old? Buddy tore himself up, and because we could relate to those feelings he was displaying when few others would, that's why we love Senses Fail. To say that the rest of what SF has done is immature is, well...disgusting.

Loved every one of their albums, this one goes right up there with the rest.

I wish he still sounded like he did on Still Searching too, but, alcoholism was a real thing, and I imagine it messed with his vocals.

His old screams were better. While the new sound isn't bad, I don't think they needed to stray so far from the old sound, because that's what made them good in the first place.

Not high and not a hipster. I truly believe they were better back in 2004-2006. Ive been giving them the benefit of the doubt that they had a few garbage records but this record says to me that Buddy's vocals are declining exponentially. The guitar riffs are really done well but his scream is different (i.e its terrible)... Hang up your jacket Senses Fail. You suck! Im out...

i would say the fire was way better than let it enfold you. enfold was a classic, but it was not even close to being the best. you can even make arguments for waiting room being better. none of enfold's songs are even close to being as good as lifeboats, coward, new year's eve, ali for cody, irish eyes, war paint (from the follow your bliss ep), etc.
