Seger, Bob - Turn On Your Love Light Lyrics
Without a warning you took my heart,
You took it darling, tore it apart
You left me sittin in the dark, cryin'
Said your love for me was dyin'
I don't believe it, I think you outta turn it up
turn it on up
just a little bit
I get a little lonely
In the middle of the night
I need your lovin'
Make it all right
I need your love girl
Or else I ain't all right
I need your lovin'
Bring it to me now
Bring it to me now
Bring it home darlin'
An turn it on up now
Just a little bit
A little bit
Turn it up a bit

Rock n Soul nobody does it better
The Human Beinz' single, "Turn On Your Love Light," flopped in the United States (peaking at No. 80), but reached No. 1 in Japan. "Turn On Your Love Light", originally a hit for Bobby Bland in 1962, was later covered by Jerry Lee Lewis and the Grateful Dead. Seeger and the band did a fine job.
Yeah,turn on your love light!!!
Bought the album when it first came out. The rest of you who didn't are either retarded or too young.:)
"SD area." I lived in SD for a couple years. Normal Heights, Mission Hills, mostly. Used to go to either Mexico, Lake Cuyamaca, or Mission Beach on my days off.:) But I'm from Ventura County. Santa Paula, Oxnard, Ventura, Silver Strand beach.

Moved here in '84, went back to MI in '94 to work in a auto factory of all things, lol... moved (back) to California *again* in '08. Retired now.
Glad to hear you're retired:) Good luck in CA, it sure is changing quickly. My daughter was born in SD, Mercy hospital on Washington St. What instruments do you play, and are you still playing?

I'm not still playing, but the internet has archived some of our stuff...

The above was the "last" band I played with ( 2008). Lead singer Lenny Earl's was the son of Sun Record's Legendary Rockabilly Artist Jack Earl's.... Ever hear of him ? He was Sun Records earliest artists....I've played with both father and son and great memories with them both...
YouTube's got some videos of Jack Earl's, just search his name on the internet too, if you care to.
I don't play anymore...I actually like going out for dinners on Friday's /Saturdays now versus setting up / tearing down equipment, watching people ( in bars ) puking / fighting in the parking lots...As *much* as I loved being a musician, the time has come for me to relax on the weekends 😊. Never thought I'd be into gardening, doing projects around the house, going to coffee shops and shooting the shit...Man I love this life.
If it was possible to fuck a song I would fuck this song LOL XD
there ain't NOTHING like B3 grease....
Obviously you never heard the 31+ minute Jam at the Fillmore in 1970 with Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers Band, Peter Green and even more musicians Or Edgar Winter's version. Now talk about Smokin'!!! But being a Detroiter this was my turn on to "Turn On Your Love Light" by Seger.
fantastic
Damn straight, get some Bob.
This is my favorite track on smokin
i had this lp until i absolutely WORE IT OUT! Thanks Blair
Great one........I think you missed only one of the early album covers in this vid, I didn't see "Brand New Morning". All of the first seven Seger albums (which are out of print except "Smokin' O.P.'s") are all real good, it is a shame they are not available...
Used record stores.
You have been Kissed.
Makes me want to dance like "The Blues Brothers"! Thx for posting.
