I'm going to Nutbush City tomorrow just to spite this song!!! Don't know how I'm getting there but I'm going and don't none of you all tryin stop me!! Like to see ya try cuz its almost 11 pm and tomorrow is in an hour and I'm in South Florida!!! And I do mean south!!! South of Ft Lauderdale!!!! I'm walking out the door just as soon as I grab a beer a cigarette and my GPS cuz I don't have the slightest clue where the he'll Nutbush City is!!! But I'ma unna find it!!! Saw Bob Seger at the Hammersmith Odeon in London in 1977. I went with friends, I'd never heard of him. He did NCL. Blew my f****** socks off. I adore Tina but this comes awful close.

The last time Bob was in OKC my wife tried to surprise me & my sons with tickets. But she bought some real crappie tickets. When we got there they had closed that section. They gave us sets right next to the stage. When Bob came over to the side where we were sitting. I could almost reach out and shake Bob's hand. I almost didn't go, but I had one of the best times of my life. I always wanted to see Bob in concert, he song this song.

Great Tribute to Tina's song. But I prefer Tina's version. Maybe because she put her heart into writing the song about where she came from. Which was basically her life before she met Ike.
