I was 13 or 14 when I first heard this song... on a public radio in India. Since I did not hear the announcer introducing this song, I did not find out who sang it. All I knew was that I wanted to hear it again... but the song was never repeated. I searched for this song for many years, and came across many other renditions of this song. But none were equivalent to this masterpiece from Bob Seger. Finally, after about 30 years, Youtube came to the rescue. I finally discovered Bob Seger!
Even after all these years, when I hear this version of the Little Drummer Boy, I am overcome by emotions... Seger transports me to another time and place... where I am the Little Drummer Boy, giving my all! Seger’s voice, brimming with emotion, has a magical way to evoke the strongest, best memories in the rest of us.
