Seger, Bob - I've Got Time Lyrics
I was born at the break of dawn
In the last days of the last great war
My father was not in the fighting
And my mother never had to mourn
I was raised, raised and taught to hurry
But now as I'm getting older
I think I'm learning how to run the race
And with you by my side, your heart close to mine
I've got time
I used to wake up every morning
And lie there far too long
Everything I did was wrong
With you, and your faith in me
Oh, how you made my whole life shine
You, and your faith in me
Little girl you made my whole life shine
And I've got time

Lovely song---part of the music of which was stolen by Boston for More Than A Feeling.
Why this was never a hit I will never understand. What a beautiful song!!!
Back in '72 may have the greatest album recorded in the 70 s. I know many will disagree, but I believe this album is what launched Bob to super stardom.
love all these clips
One of my faves! This has so much feel. I love the LP " Back in 72 "
Thank the good lord Bob is finally on spotify. I couldn't be happier because they added Neil too back a few months ago and when he first got on there, they didn't have every single album but they're pretty damn close. Hopefully they add this album- Back in '72, Noah, Mongrel, Seven, Smokin' O.P.s, and Brand New Morning... I think that's all they're missing really besides a couple great unreleased tracks. Thanks Bob keep rockin Brother
