nobody ever told me that the silver bullet band was {with bob} a 14 piece wall of sound. . . .wow what a tremendous concert ! studio quality sound - all the hits - rrreally fkng LOUD . . . .and cooked to perfection.

i saw the beach boys in 78 . . .deep purple mid 80s . . .stones late 90s. . . . . .and many astounding acts in betweeen - but none compared with seger in edmonton a few years back. . . . . .it was a rescheduled show due to a monster storm on the original date , and it turned out to be their last show of the tour. . . .man what a blessing. . . . .they ripped the piss out of it. . . .start to end. . . .it truly was something to behold.

So great to see the complete lyrics here ... it's a message that comes at us thru guitars & percussion, not to mention the voice of the relentless Bob Seger. Add the background singers at the end - which could have gone on another minute or two - and you have one of the true ROCK CLASSICS of our lifetime. It's superior in every way !

I took a girl on a vacation from the midwest to LA, the first night we went to the beach and watched the waves crash while smoking a joint, I had already been to LA a couple of times so I let her choose where she wanted to go, the next day we took a hike in West Hollywood... can't remember the name of the hike but it was long but great. We followed it to a trip to Yosemite upon those long and winding roads all the way up to half dome, on the way back which was a four hour drive I looked at her and I said I wanted to play a song just because I loved the song so much... Well I put it on and realized the only thing that was missing was that she wasn't from LA but from the same part of the midwest...I fell in love with her that night, wish I had better news right now but still trying to figure out what's going to happen between us, she knows how I feel about her and she still wants to hang out with me, I'm crossing my fingers, the love from this woman would make me complete, oh AND I LOVE THIS FUCKING SONG.

I haven't heard this forever. Memories are flooding back, sitting around a campfire with my siblings laughing, eating, teasing each other. How I'm missing those years late 70s early 80s... Now we barely see each other, I miss you my sister's.

Our drummer, David Teegarden, played an entire set of drums as we recorded and overdubbed another entire set of drums playing a different pattern. In other words, there's two sets of everything: snare, kick-drum, hi-hat, etc. Billy Payne (of Little Feat) sat in with us for the first time and played the last two instruments, piano and organ. When he was done, he asked for a tape to listen to on the way home. he called me the next day while he had been listening, he looked down and found himself going 100 miles an hour on the freeway."
