Sedaka, Neil - Your Favorite Entertainer Lyrics
You hear his voice above the roaring of the crowd,
Dance while he goes through his charade.
You see him standing there so tall and proud
And you know, damn well the man has got it made.
Write a love letter to your favorite entertainer.
Applause, applause, because he's up there singing just for you,
Singing just for you.
His every movement draws you closer to the stage,
Helplessly carried on the tide.
Giddy and feeling almost half your age,
It's magic he's got going on inside.
Applause, applause for your favorite entertainer,
Applause, applause, because he's up there singing just for you,
Singing just for you.
You'd love to touch him but you know you wouldn't dare
To kiss the lips that sing the song.
You wave and scream to let him know you're there.
With luck he'll sign the book you've brought along.
Applause, applause for your favorite entertainer,
Applause, applause, because he's up there singing just for you,
Singing just for you,
Singing just for you.

Sedaka, Neil Your Favorite Entertainer Comments
My father still has the 33 1/3 vinyl of this album from the year I was born. I played it time and again and it takes us back to a time when life was a lot simpler and more meaningful than it will ever be again thanks to technology voiding our souls. Thanks Neil for making this album a favourite in my life then, now and always,
One of the coolest albums ever made! Thanks for such a gem Mr. Sedaka!!
This song has been on my mind today (December 27, 2016). Applause, Applause!
The man knows what he is singing about...an under appreciated tune.
I still have and play both the 45 & album which by the way is a good album.
One of his best albums, with the unforgettable "The Hungry Years."
I had the 45
I had this album. Nice song.
