I never appreciated this record more than I do now. Neil Sedaka's lead is great, and the rest of the group backs him up perfectly. Cynthia Zololtkin's voice puts the cherry on top. Thanks.
This was Neil Sedaka's first song ever to be released on record disc.
What are the lyrics at the end of the bridge - at the point between "For the dreams I weave are make-believe, and it's clear to see" and "Yet I count my sheep well, sleep well all the time"? It sounds like "that it's break the heart of me", but that doesn't make any sense.
I wish someone had given the bass player a chord sheet. Everyone else does a great job, including Neil, whose voice I don't usually like but it works perfectly here. Did Cynthia Zolotkin ever record again> She adds a lot - kinda like Janet Vogl in the Skyliners.

I don't know why but when I first heard this song it reminded me of Christmas when I was a kid and all the happy feelings inside when I passed by the stores and their well lit windows.
