If you watch the closeups of Dan's lips as he's singing the words in question, it is abundantly obvious that he is enunciating the word, "around," and NOT the words, "are out." Case closed!

For some unknown reason, this song takes me to a specific street back in my college days. I see the tall trees along the street, the gentle night breeze is swaying the branches revealing the starry sky. The street lights confirm that the street is empty. So smooth, quite nostalgic
