In my opinion, no one should attempt a Marvin song because the man was the greatest singer of all time. However, Seal does quite a good job on this, I even listened to it all the way through!

Marvin Gaye is my alltime favourite artist, so I usually don't go for covers of his songs unless the artist is of a high calibre. Not many can do justice to Marvin's classics. This cover exceeded my expectations. I wasn't sure he could pull off this song despite the fact that he has one of the most incredible voices in the industry. Well done, Seal. You did a beautiful job. None of that oversinging that passes for emotion when it is really a lack of subtlety and taste. Beautiful!
