I was in a tough state of depression for 3 years. Lack of communication made my girl of 9 years resent me. Bouncing between jobs and unsure of my future and what I want to do to find fulfillment. She left. She wanted a man who could share the load. Now I have an amazing job and great opportunities. She told me she doesn't think I'll last. I hate how she views me now but I know who I am and what I'm capable of. This song reminds me of what could have been had she just listened when I reached out for help. Had we just talked. We are both stubborn people. She moved on and would never admit if she felt she was making a mistake. I'm moving on as well but still pissed that she doesn't see me for what I truly am and was and that the person she fell in love with is still here and growing into an even better person. Life is crazy. I hope I can find that love again someday

I knew about this song since 2011, when I was 10 years old. Earlier this year It randomly popped in my head out of nowhere. I didn’t know the name of it or anything. I just remember the catchy “Oooooo” hook. and It’s been fucking killing me ever since. I was looking up “Oooooo” song like a dumbass on YouTube expecting the song to come up. I finally stumbled across it on a Spotify playlist called “The sound of 2011”.

Just listened to Break Even. This song as painful as it is has some light at the end of the tunnel. They needed to go through what they went through to grow and find each other again. I hope those who are suffering from a breakup or separation with their s/o will grow through it and find that person again. Sometimes we need to do our individual journeys before we can journey together with our one. Sending positive vibes!
