Screaming Trees - E.S.K. Lyrics

Come in under fallen galaxies
Keeping heaven and earth apart
All the skin, it can crawl all over me
You're watching me crawl from the start

Destinations end
Wherever you go, don't follow me
The silence that you send
Is all you show, I can't believe
That the last one left the ground
You're still waiting for me now

Lining up at the shrine, all stars are gone
Clean it up where the dirt is down
All you find is a burned out Babylon
Down and over without a sound

Destinations end
Wherever you go, don't follow me
The silence that you send
Is all you show, I can't believe
That the last one left the ground
You're still waiting for me now

Destinations end
Wherever you go, don't follow me
The silence that you send
Is all you show and I can't believe
That the last one left the ground
And you're still waiting for me now

Lining up at the shrine, all stars are gone
Clean it up where the dirt is down
All you find is a burned out Babylon
Down and over without a sound

Come in under fallen galaxies
Keeping heaven and earth apart
All the skin, it can crawl all over me
You've been watching me crawl from the start, oh yeah

@@richard phillips If ever come across the original I'll find you here! The SST era Trees albums are lost classics, there's really nothing like them. Only saw them once, touring behind "Uncle Anesthesia" with Dan Peters of Mudhoney on drums, at the club where Nirvana played their last small club show three months later, two days after "Nevermind" came out.

@Drew Cucuzza Omg! Your so lucky! They have to get back together! With or without Lanegan.

@@richard phillips Gary Lee Connor is one of the most distinctive guitarists I've ever heard, he really should be better known. Of course, so should the Trees!

thanx for posting, I thought I heard almost everything from them but I obviously need to keep exploring.  every new song I love.  This has to be my all time favorite band next to the Jefferson airplane.

  5. T.... N....

The lack of views and comments for this song are a bit upsetting. Not sure why this wasn't released as a radio single, this is too good to be only featured on a compilation album.

    T.... N....

    AGREED!

  6. B.... D....

The Trees in all their glory! Killer riffs, solid fucking rhythm section, and on top of it all Mark Lanegan's vocals. Man! How I loved grooving to the Trees back in the day.

  7. P.... ....

    it's so great!
