Scott Walker - Cowboy Lyrics
Cold gray buildings
Where hills should be
Steel and concrete
Closing in on me
City faces haunt the places
Cowboy, cowboy
Carvin can't hide
It's too late to fight now
To turn, to try.
Winds that once blew free
Now scatters dust through the sky
Cowboy, cowboy
Carvin can't hide
It's too late to fight now

Scott Walker Cowboy Comments
First time I’ve heard this song. Beautifully sung by incomparable Scott. Such a sad loss, condolences to his family. An era has gone with him.
I'd only known the Harry Nilsson version of this from the 'Sings Newman' album before this. Walker's version is much more world weary.

Hopefully more people will hear this now.
This is one of my favourite Scott Walker songs.
So sad.
Rest in peace, Scott.
Love Cowboy
A brilliant song. Sung brilliantly by Scott. But how many people have ever heard it.
