Even though I am no longer a Christian, this makes me very nostalgic for mass every Sunday. I also remember the hippie nuns playing this on their guitars in the 80’s in Catholic school

More hippy dippy crap from Schutte! I walk out right after the final Sign of the Cross and right before they play his crap. It has no place in the Mass.

Modernism is a real problem, and Matt Maher has made things even worse. I would be grateful to hear this degree of innovation with how bad the common Mass music has become.

Fast paced hymns like this are ideal as a recessional hymn.

I tried so hard to get to confession last Saturday but missed it thanks to my transportation’s poor planning. So this was the recessional. I was so touched I couldn’t sing it anymore, because I was choked up.

Quite Low church but I find this amusing. Especially watching the organist try to keep the rhythm, the fear in her face.
I do like it sometimes, Good to stick on my head sometimes.

As a liturgist, I have a real weakness for this song.

Why is that?

As a shelter for all who will call upon his name!!!

Exhibit A for the degradation of sacred music in the contemporary Catholic church. And unfortunately this trash is infecting Protestant music as well.

That just means us Catholics create really catchy music

We used this music in the old Catholic church I used to go to. However, it was played on an Organ and fit so much better
